I am, and it's great.
I work for a large insurance company that has a very forward-thinking HR policy on sexual orientation. The company also offers domestic partner insurance benefits, and even has an active LGBT (mostly social) organization.
So I have no trouble with having a picture of my wife and I on my desk, talking openly about my wife in context of social conversations with coworkers, attending afterhours work social functions as a couple, etc.
More than just acceptance, the mood here is one of "whatever" when it comes to orietnation. It's not "no big deal," it's not a deal at ALL. No one bats an eye about it. It's the way society should be, and will eventually be, I think.
However, prior to coming to work here, I was self-employed for several years. During that time, I was much more guarded about being gay. Since I was my own sales department, I didn't want to give people another potential reason to not use my services. (I prefer not to associate with homophobes, but hey, their money spent the same as my other clients'!)

I just made the switch from presenting as male to presenting as female, so I guess there's no way for me to avoid being out at work about being trans. Then again I'm not very good at staying in the closet anywhere I go. I'm also out about liking other women too. SEARS is a great place for the GLBT community.

Of course! Anything else takes too much energy and stress.
FYI I am middle management so it was not an easy or lighthearted decision. But I made this decision quite a few years ago, and have not looked back since! It is truly the way to go.

On a need to know basis, yes. Nobody really cares. There is a policy here that peoples private lives are meant to be private. No one really adheres to it. I've known my manager for 20 years on a personal level so there is no secrets there. In fact, before I even started here I was already known by other employees. Thats what happens in small town America, damn bunch of gossips. :)

Not openly, but Gwenneth and Iwere together often enough to draw the following remark from a bright young thing. "Oh look, here come the spinsters. Couldn't get a man to save themselves."LOL.
Best wishes, Rose P.

Yes. I am keeping our men safe with sensors that detect intrusion over seas. But more importantly I have to pay my light bill. It is usually the only time I am on here to because once out I don't want to see a computer.

No I am not out at work, I am very high up in my Company, and I just don't need the hassle. There is another guy that is out and everyone talks about him behind his back.

I'm both straight and employeed, even though that is really none of your business. Also for your information you (by law) can't ban someone from working for you based strictly on their sexual orientation, not that orientation makes the sum of a person.
