I'd take the living forever option till I have done everything there is to do then I'll take the ultimate one-way ticket.

I don't think I would want to life forever. As long as I have the quality of life and the longevity of life, I'm good to go. You can't be happy in your golden years without just one. Example: Why would you want longevity if you have Alzheimer's or lung cancer. At that point the quality of life is non existing for your personal life to continue. I refuse to be kept alive by artificial means. DNR = Do Not Resuscitate. If I'm unable to breath on my own and need to be kept alive with a feeding tube, pull the plug. The only problem I see living longer because of modern science is there will be new diseases that we will have to wait 20 years for a cure for. That's exactly what's happening with people that have Alzheimer's disease today. We didn't have that decease 40 years ago, but now that people are living longer, new illnesses are right around the corner.

Yes, I would take immortality. I am convinced that science will one day provide a means to stop humans from aging, it may not be in our lifetimes but it is very conceivable. The body is nothing more than a machine that can be fine tuned with the right tools.. This includes our mental facilities. People often resort to the old adage that they would be bored. I see a day when such technologies could defeat boredom. Unfortunately, people are short sighted and believe that technological advances do not occur..
I do not believe in an afterlife. So I would not die to be with a God.

Living forever would be interesting but I would only take it if there was still a way to die. Like someone else said if it followed the Highlander idea I'd be all for it. Things get too horrible then off with the head and its over.
I just think it would be nice to hang around and see if my hope that the human race will not destroy everything and themselves.

Life in this world wouldn't be as fun if u knew u could do whatever and live. An extreme example would be the thought that what if u knew that when u jumped off a building u'd live. N E ways, staight up it's like this: if God wanted us to live longer he'd have done it. He did it to the ppl in the old testament.

Now do I age? Or would it be like highlander. I most definitely would live forever. I think if it was like highlander, it would be awesome, then you would have to earn your life, and that would do away with over population. Thats another point. If you could live forever, then the earth would gradually become overpopulated, and then there would be alot of disease, and famine, and food shortages. Not really the best of ideas.

at the same time I want to go to heaven now and yet because I have a son inlaw working on that project I know it will likely be soon available and think of things I would still like to do. He removed a gene from a simple life form and stopped the ageing process.

It would depend entirely on what that entailed... what if you could live forever but your body could still be damaged? What if living forever meant you would end up all alone in the universe? I dont know if I would accept such and offer. Life is all about death, its the one thing we all have in common and the one thing we simply cannot avoid and I truely believe there is a good reason for it

How could you live forever? How would you survive the destruction of the earth? The end of the universe. Nobody who thinks about it sensibly really wants to live 'forever' people would just like to be young for longer.
