Everyone knows you can't buy your way into heaven. However, I do not know this pastor you are talking about & I do not know you or if you are telling the truth or just twisting facts at your own convenience.

The Bible does show us that we should tithe. Which is ten percent of our earning. The church is a building, and the building does require electricity and many other things, and as much as some of us wish that those things were free...their not. Now, should we pay a Pastor from a church to be able to sit in the front row? Thats ridiculous, thats not from God. That Pastor could talk and say all she wants, doesn't mean anyone will actually do it unless they dont know better or are not familiar with the Word. Turst me, if she is up there with the intent of money and not to do Gods work, she wont last. NO WHERE in the Bible does it say you have to pay money to get into heaven. The Bible teaches us that Jesus paid the price for us, and not through money. So the answer to that question is no..you dont get into heaven by paying someONE even if they are a "pastor".

salvation is bought by no less cost than the blood of Jesus and a free gift by design
there was a guy Simon the magician, in the book of Acts who tried to buy the gift of God with money and Peter told him "may your gold perish with you" and advices him to call on God and be saved
psssttt !!! God loves a cheerful giver, if you are a grumpy giver keep your money. We do not give to be saved we give becasue we are saved. A hard workign pastor should be looked out and cared for. A fat cat city slicker who is fleecin the flock... well... that might be nother story

I have no idea who Melissa Scott is. However, it's never a good idea to place your faith in any human - they will fail you. Place your faith where it belongs, Almighty God.
In answer to selling prayers or building expensive churches, if that is what she's doing, shut off the T.V. She's definitely not of God. God would rather you send that money to someone who will feed the poor with it.

I personally have never seen her tell people this. I have watched the show several times, and I have never seen this. The only time money came into a conversation (and it was only once) was when she said simply "Do not give money to our church unless you have received teaching that you value". She went further to say that any money given is not a "love gift", "partnership gift" etc etc that other whacked out TV preachers ask for. She just mentioned that it allows them to stay on tv and teach.
Again, I have watched the show about 8-10 times only. If I am wrong I would be interested in seeing what you are talking about... and not just hearsay. I would need to see a show or something on her website, etc, etc.

1 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By COVETOUSNESS THEY WILL EXPLOIT YOU WITH DECEPTIVE WORDS; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.
You know the Bible tells us to examine the "fruits" of anyone who states they're a prophet or teacher. Her "fruits" certainly seem rotten. Stay away from her and encourage others to do so, as well -- which may be your reason for posting this.

The Bible says that in the last days, there will be false prophets who are self-seeking and not sent by the Father-so we need to be armed with the Word so we can discern who is truly faithful to the Lord and who is not. If they are speaking about things that are not biblical and can't back up what they say with scripture, then they probably aren't creditable teachers of the Word.

paying for salvation is nothing new. the history channel had a good story on it a while back. it's turned into a sick, demented practice by people like 'pastor' scott. people like that belong in prison, working off their debts to the public
and, NO, paying does not get you into heaven. not even good deeds do. accepting Jesus Christ into your heart & repenting your sins DOES

No, God did not itend for churches and shepherds to be so exspensive, The only money you should give your church is through donations, and offerings. Not directly through the pastor for sitting in front rows, and birthdays etc. No-one should ever ask you for money for a prayer request, thats just sinfull. You should tell her, if you are in contact with her, that instead of giving money to her, you are going to donate money to a worthy cause in her name :)

In a word RUN! That's blasphemy. She's fattening her wallet if she's even hinting at that notion. Pay her to get in the door?
No, it's faith and grace.
