You do know that if passed, another amendment will probably be passed in a few years again to repeal it, right? So why even keep trying to legalize bigotry? Just give up!

Although I am spiritual, I have never been able to believe a lot in the bible or that Jesus died for our sins. I guess you could call me a "Doubting Thomas" because I just don't have that faith. I go to church and I have the same values that the other church goers have, but I feel I'm being hypocritical because I don't believe in Jesus the same way they do. I want to believe but I won't fake something just because other people want me to. I believe that Jesus was an apostle but I don't believe in the whole immaculate conception or the easter thing, so why do you? My common sense just won't let me believe things like that.

When did Jesus ever advise someone to "figure it out for themselves", when they asked him a question?

while Saddam was hanging from the ceiling he was taking all the sins of mankind onto himself and YET you refuse to accept his gift of salvation. just know that if you dont accept Saddam Hussein as your personal Lord and Savior you are destined to an eternal life in HELL. is that what you want???

Saddam Loves you! why do you hate him?

for Saddam said--- Fallujah 10:19 " verily verily! i say unto you, i'm the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father but by me"

ask Saddam to come in your heart and i guarantee you'll have eternal life.

I have almost gone back into a lesbian lifestyle after 15 months of celibacy. I have read in the bible that jesus leads to true life and the sin brings only death. I am a bit afraid that I will be alone for the rest of my days if I don't go back to being lesbian, and I doubt the belief....I lose myself in sex talk and stuff....can you give me words of encouragement please I am on the fringe.

It could not have been a wood boat noway is it possible to fit his family and every species of mammal/reptile on earth on it, and just think how bad the sea would have been. What do you think the ark was?

I predict that if Pat Robertson is interrogated by Homeland Security, he will be taunted on a cell-phone video by followers of rival televangelist factions, causing protests from Pat's supporters.

Don't you think it would have been more accessible to the average person? More comprehensible? Less contradictory?

And what's with the burning bushes and the talking snakes and the famines and plagues? Is this supposed to teach us something? Why all the threats and fear? Is this guidance? Is this love?

Why would the Creator write a book, anyway? Wouldn't a movie make more sense?

If humanity is so important to the Creator, then why don't we all just have a regular sit-down face-to-face get-together and celebrate the joy of Creation every once in a while?

Are all these bad-*** men in the world SO bad that they hold the rest of the world hostage in violence and poverty and the Creator can't do anything about it except to threaten to punish them in some fiery afterlife?

Did 300 million innocent people die in the Indonesian tsunami by accident? Or did some perverse god punish them for...for what? For the sin of being born?

Explain this to me, please.

This is something weird I've been thinking about lately. Now, you design your house on your own, and you pick out your own clothes obviously for a reason because you like them at that time. Does it ever seem to you that when you bring people in your house that you wish your house looked different because you don't like it. Or you realize after seeing your clothes everydaythat they really dont look that great. I can't really describe it, maybe someone else understands?

I am divorced, also a Catholic/Christian

My marrigae was a marrigae of abuse and I had 2 small children.
I left the marriage because he had an affair with a 13 year old girl (he was 32) and he divorced me. I have never remarried. I prayed to God to help me and he did.

My Church knows and I was still welcomed and received the sacraments

Some say I am a adulterer what do you think. Am I?

It's curious how perfectly God created us.In his creation he included desire for the oppposite sex (or same sex if you want to be politically correct). Before you argue that Eve was responsible for creating desire, our bodies physiologically respond with pleasure to sexual stimuli. Therefore, isn't it safe to say that God intended for us to enjoy sexual intercourse?
Over the past several decades, the average age of the onset of puberty (therefore increased desire) has decreased to as young as 10 years old, while the average age of marriage has increased to nearly 26 years old. That can mean resisting a completely natural sexual desire for 16 YEARS!! Whereas, our grandparents were getting married at practically the same time that puberty hit.
So, would it be safe to say that it is no longer realistic to expect adolescents to wait 16 years, or would it be safer to give them the education they will need to make responsible choices about their sexual health?
