...Naturally you have studied the Bible long and hard, which is why you have come to this conclusion, right?
...Can you please share with us the last contradiction that you have found? Not one off someone else's web site or out of someone else's book, but the last one you found in your personal study.
*====>RE your update: Did you ever think that Jesus fed more than one multitude - how many events are being spoken of in your examples? The fact is that He fed multitudes at least twice, nd in John 20 we are told that "there are many other things that Jesus did..."
*=====> We can argue and disagree about the Bible all day long, but the most important question is, what have you done with Jesus Christ, - who is He to you? He was a real, historical person, witnessed by the Bible, secular historians of His day, and multitudes who have believed on Him through the centuries. He claimed to be God and the only way to God, leaving us no wiggle room at all. Is He a liar, a lunatic, a legend, or is He the Lord? This is no small thing - your eternal destination depends on your response to Him...I urge you to humble yourself and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved, while you have time.

The Bible is based on facts - that much is not in dispute. Archaeology affirms the general history of the Bible, including many of the kings, kingdoms, empires, wars, places, times, etc. That's not to say that the Bible is entirely accurate, but many of its assertions have been verified. 200 years ago scholars did not believe in the Sumerians, the ancient Babylonian Empire, Nebuchadnezzar, the conquest of Canaan, or King David, just to name a few. Now those have been confirmed.

There are very few contradictions in Scripture. Most of the contradictions are actually contrarities, and can be explained by reading the text just as you would any other ancient document. Again, I'm not saying that the Bible is 100% accurate, or that it doesn't contain contradictions.

The problem is that modern fundamentalists have turned the Bible into the sole source of faith and doctrine. They act like the Bible was dropped from heaven in its present form, and read it as if it were written by the hand of God himself. This leads to many goofy interpretations of Scripture. And non-Christians who have never read or studied the Bible take the fundamentalist interpretation and assume that it accurately reflect the content of Scripture and the role of Scripture in Christianity.

For example: The Bible does not teach that Noah survived a world-wide flood, or that he took two of every species of animal onto the ark. It does not teach that Moses parted the Red Sea. It does not teach the "rapture" of the Church. It does not teach that God instantly confounded the languages of men at the tower of Bible. It does not teach that God regularly communicated with human beings throughout history. All of these ideas, and many more, are just assumptions that have been through the years, usually by people who did not have the context to understand what they were reading, or were to eager to add a supernatural interpretation to something that could easily have been a natural event.

How could you not believe the Bible? Your opinion is obviously something you have read or someone has told you, ie. not your own. I challenge you to read the Bible for yourself and find the "contradictions". You won't find any. Look at it this way. If you read the Bible and find it of no use, at least you did your own research on which to base your opinion. However, I don't think this will be the case. Happy hunting.

Were you there? Do you know for sure that these are not facts? All of history could be questioned, yet people focus only on the Bible. Yes, a great deal of belief in the Bible is due to faith. It is a guide for living as Christ wants us to live. Do I take ALL of it to heart....no. Times have changed and therefore so must our understanding of the Bible. Some will disagree...this is only my personal belief and opinion.

Belief in the Holy Bible is perpetuated by pure, blind faith, nothing more. There is absolutely no proof that anything in that book happened, or proof that through the 1000s of years that the words in the book haven't been manipulated to serve the Church needs.

If you really study the Bible and ask for God's holy spirit to help and guide you, you will realize that what seems to be a contradiction is just a misinterpretation and that God makes sure he repeats himself over and over so you can put all the pieces together if you JUST DON'T GIVE UP.

The bible does not contradict itself and it IS based on facts - God cannot lie - there is NO sin in Him. God cannot contradict Himself because He is perfect and as I said, without sin. Many people disagree with the bible and even find that it does contradict itself, but man is fallible and capable of misinterpretation of the bible. God is NOT fallible and cannot go against His own word. Those who say it contradicts itself and is not based on facts is an unbeliever and has no faith - not saved by Christ!

Because God inspired men to write it. God does not lie. I have not seen God face to face but I know He exists. Okay, we say that the wind exists. I have not seen it but every now and then I can feel it. That is the same way I feel about my God. And where exactly in the Word of God is there any contradiction? I have read it from cover to cover and I haven't seen it. May God Bless U.
