Pick one question and I will be happy to try. To start with, I will answer your first and your last. If you want more, you will have to e-mail me. The Bible is the most accessable book in the world at this time and God (and many others) encourage people to read and study it for themselves. He will grant holy spirit to help a person understand it if they will just pray for it. Once you understand it, it doesn't contradict itself either, but you have to have the whole, big picture. Remember, in the Bible where the Etheopian Eunich was reading the scriptures and Phillip was sent to instruct him? The Eunich said, "How could I understand without someone to help me" (paraphased). Well, the Bible is also like that. God has chosen people to help others to understand. And he sends them--most people send them away. The right hearted ones recognize the voice of Jesus as it rings true in their words and they open their hearts and their eyes and see.
Satan is in control on earth right now and God is allowing bad things to happen because God knows that nothing can have any permanant ill effect on anyone here if he chooses to fix it, he will. God does not cause any wickedness or badness and he will not burn his children alive in fire either. Men have listened to Satan's lies so long that they have started believing that they are truth. That is why everyone really needs to read the Bible, pray for holy spirit to help you understand and watch for someone to come help because you never know where the help might come from---------BUT ALWAYS read the Bible for yourself and make sure they are telling you the truth!!

He didn't write a book - even most Christians acknowledge this. The Bible is just a record of man's understanding of God over time. It is not God's revelation to man, and was not written by God.

People who want to judge God (make themselve higher than God and be the only god) won't understand the following. But that IS what God intended for them.
1 Cor 1:18-31
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."
20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
26 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-and the things that are not-to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God-that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
(from New International Version)
Those who don't need God, are not the ones that God speaks to.
Matt 9:10-13
10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
(from New International Version)
