I've seen people here ask why everyone hates Christians. One even said, "Why Do Atheists Hate Us? I Respect Them?"

But do Christian really respect people of other faiths? I know they think they do, but do they really? How respectful is it to tell a person of deep religious faith, whether he's Buddhist, Hindu, Moslem, or Jew, that his faith is worthless and he's going to hell? What kind of respect is that? It's not respectful at all. It's downright insulting is what it is.

Oh I know, they don't think it's insulting. They think they're saving the person. But even that's insulting, to tell a person that you need to save them from their own worthless religious faith. Do any Christians have any idea how disrepectful and insulting it is to tell a deeply religious person of another faith that God doesn't recognize their faith and that you are going to save them from hell by telling them that their faith is worthless?

Wow! Someone who should be worshipped by us all! His book the God delusion is a masterpiece and he has been voted one of the top intellects of our times. He suggets it is the time for all atheists to stand up and be counted and give their views. Down with religion! Let us build a church and pray to Dawkins.

Did he do that without being asked by God?

if he was asked by God then it's unfair to kill an innicent man for the sins of others. Do you agree?

I'm 13 and have recently found that I love wearing tights and pantyhose. I don't think I'm gay because I'm really attracted to girls. But does wearing tights and pantyhose make me gay?

A friend's sister is 16. I was away at college and saw her on Christmas. I believe she is pregnant, even though she is not showing. I have said nothing to my friend. But just yesterday, she came to visit with my friend. For whatever the reason, our eyes met and practically "locked" for at least ten seconds. Then she turned away. Something or someone or some spitirual being is encouging me to say something.
(SOmething similar happened to me last year. I was going to go out with some friends but something STRONG told me not to.
There was an accident. No one was killed. But a few of the girsl were hurt badly. But something stopped me that night.

But I'm sure that other than a nice dinner out I'll be in for most of the night. What about you? Hosting or going to any parties? Having fun with the kids? Hitting the bar scene? Most of the bars here (Milwaukee) put out big buffets to keep you there so no need to pay for dinner! What kind of fun are you planning?

I know the specifics and no, I am not panicking. I'm really just looking for people's gut reactions when they first heard about it. Did it give you pause? Did it even make a blip on your radar screen or do you feel sort of sick just thinking about it? If you can remember your gut reaction before your brain had time to insert logic I'd like to hear how you felt.

I'm seriously not trying to step on toes; just curious where most Christians stand on this.

If there was absolutely no mention of Heaven or Hell in the Bible, but everything else were written exactly the same way, would you still feel compelled to worship God?

Would you still follow the commandments if there was no punishment or reward for doing so?

Basically, do you worship God as a creator because you genuinely love Him, because you want the reward of Heaven, or because you fear eternal damnation if you don't?

My name is Kyle and I'm a 16 year old boy. My Grandmother recently died after her wheelchair broke and she fell out. She had a condition called Hemophelia where her blood doesn't clot, so it didn't take long once she fell. My mom is making me go to her funeral, but the only nice thing I have to wear is a tan linen suit that I got as a gift last summer. Is it appropriate to wear a tan linen suit to a funeral in winter, or should I go out and purchase a new black suit? I don't have much money. Does anyone have any suggestions?
