I'm sorry some of you are viewing this question as stupid or offensive, it was never meant to be anything more than a question to help me understand better.

Christianity = the following of Christ
Christ = Savior
i guess if people believed there was a savior before Jesus then you could say there was Christianity before Jesus
And yes people have added to it along the way that's why threes a million different Christian faiths. Ive studied the bible front to back
there were Christians in it before Jesus was around because some profits preached that Jesus would come before he was born i guess you could call that a form of Christianity

Interestingly enough I am not Christian but I am going to answer anyway LOL. The teachings of Jesus did not come until after his birth. However if you believe in God, then when God created the earth and all the universe then He had already conceived Christianity. It just took a great many years for us to see that come to fruitation.

The second part of your question is vague. With every person that Christ came in contact, there was additional parables or lessons to learn. Long after His death, people such as Paul wrote of Him and his teachings. Today each preacher or religious teacher adds his on thoughts on the words of Christ to help the people understand the meanings behind it.

Jesus brought back the original mindset that man was suppose to always have. It was not about religion at all it was about truth. The followers of this mindset were coined the Christians and made into a religion by governments trying to control those free people. Jesus is "The Savior", because He was the only begotten Son of God created by the Spirit of Christ. He was created as a way to reconcile the people back to reality that they had not experienced since the beginning of the human experience because the earliest humans, (Adam and Eve) opted to try and live without the mind of Christ in them. In God's wisdom He knew that it would be necessary to come to Earth as a man and give humans a chance to reconcile to Him and begin the eternal life that was part of the original creation. It is all about a one on one walk with the Father. It is not about following a bunch of docternal laws that men have created to try and put the truth in a box. It is freedom in Truth that is the goal of the Father, not religion.

Jesus was a Jew! Almost all of the early Christians were also Jewish and considered themselves to be Jews. The earliest gatherings of believers took place in synagogues.

Read the Book of Acts for an account of how Jesus' followers under the influence of the Holy Spirit founded what we know today as Christianity.

No and no. Christianity was not around before Jesus. And Jesus did not come up with it. Jesus was a Jew and he had no intention of creating a new religion.

Christianity was created far after the great selfless/selfish prophet by a group of men. The early followers of Christ were very spiritual pagans who lived simply and generously. The teachings of the Christ image are paralleled with Zoroastrian teachings, Hermetics, and the Kabbalah.

Christianity evolved after Jesus Christ was cruxified....

No one added anything....the Gospel does mean Good News... The Gospel was written by those who can account for their time with the Lord.

christianity was around before Jesus that was what the sacrafices was all about.
sacrafices could not get us into heaven it only led to abrahams bosom
so Jesus had to come and die and rise again for the perfect sacrafice for us to get into heaven and while here on earth Jesus preached His purpose and His fathers purpose and recruited the disciples to help Him out
christanity has always been around

Jesus INVENTED it all! PRAISE HIM!

Yes, read the Bible --it tells the whole story!

ONE LIFE

He was born in a stable,
In an obscure village,
the child of a peasant woman,
From there He travelled
less than 200 miles.

He never wrote a book.
He never held an office.
He did none of the things one
usually associates with greatness.

He became a nomadic preacher,
Popular opinion turned against Him,
He was betrayed by a close friend,
And His other friends ran away.

He was unjustly condemned to death,
Crucified on a cross among common thieves,
On a hill overlooking the town dump,
And when dead, laid in a borrowed grave.

Nineteen centuries have come and gone,
Empires have risen and fallen,
Mighty armies have marched,
And powerful rulers have reigned.

Yet no one has affected men as much as HE,
HE is the central figure of the human race,
HE is the Messiah, THE SON OF GOD,
JESUS THE CHRIST!
