I once was having a hamburger in a diner and I went to put some ketchup on it and when I lifted the bun, a lettuce worm was crawling across my hamburger. I called the waitress over and showed her the worm. She almost fainted. I took the lettuce off and continued eating my hamburger. There was no charge.

I would return it, but to each his/her own. I guess if it doesn't bother you, then keep eating it without making a scene. Don't let the other people you are dining with aware of it because it could ruin the meal for them and they might send their food back thinking that there might be something wrong with theirs too.

I complain to the manager right away! That is sooo nasty. It completely ruins the meal. You aren't necessarily a "slob" but you really need to bring that sort of thing to the attention of the restaurant!

Dining out, be totally grossed out, call the waiter over and request a new dish. If you don't care, that is your choice.

Well not really. It's just really unhealthy. The person who the hair belongs to could never take baths or have head lice. Now that is in your food.

It definitely ruins the meal.

I often pretend that I am choking on hair if I find it in my food. It usually gets the attention of some of the waiters and the manager...which often gets me several free meals, and I become a legend to those who witnessed it.

It doesn't make you a slob, but I would report it anyway, because someone else probably would get upset by it.

If it's my own that just fell in while I was eating, it's just fine.
If it was in there from whoever prepared it, that would be gross and I would not continue eating.
