Kill the infidels (non-Christians). In Acts 3:23 Peter claims that Deuteronomy 18:18-19 refers to Jesus, saying that those who refuse to follow him (all non-Christians) must be killed.

Please go at your pace and recognize that if Christ were on the earth he would not expect more of yourself than what your were capable of.

Note that being a Christian should not be a competitive experience:

(Galatians 6:3-5) “3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deceiving his own mind. 4 But let each one prove what his own work is, and then he will have cause for exultation in regard to himself alone, and not in comparison with the other person. 5 For each one will carry his own load.”

Also note you have to recognize your limitations--doing more as far as works will not necessarily make you a better or devout Christian. Note the reasoning from the discussion of Paul referring to monetary giving, the principle applies to anything we try to do for God in following the example of His Son , Christ---

(2 Corinthians 8:10-12) “10 And in this I render an opinion: for this matter is of benefit to YOU, seeing that already a year ago YOU initiated not only the doing but also the wanting [to do]; 11 now, then, finish up also the doing of it, in order that, just as there was a readiness to want to do, so also there should be a finishing up of it out of what YOU have. 12 For if the readiness is there first, it is especially acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what a person does not have.”

So what "a person does not has"(or have) can be energy, time, money, good qualities etc.
Be careful you do not let anybody dictate what you can or cannot do, that is not what God or Christ expect. We do not follow men.

Get into God's word, you've got alot of work to do to prepare yourself for the troubled times ahead. And, no I'm not trying to scare you into the word, but rather educate you so you know what is ahead of you. Reading the bible is like reading tomorrow's newspaper .But you have to have the proper study tools.Find yourself a good Bible teaching church or ministy.I mean a good one. One that teaches God's word Book by Book,Chapter by chapter, and verse by verse.Get yourself a good King James Version of The Holy Bible, I personally use a KJV Companion Bible ,also Get a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible by James Strong. This allows you to take any word in the Old Test. or New Test. and brake it back to the original languages to get an "always correct" translation of that word from the Hebrew,Greek,Aramaic, Syric,or Chaldee languages which all appear in the original manuscripts. If you use any bible other than a KJV you will not be able to use the concordance to do this. Most importantly, keep your faith, try and walk righteously throughout your life (Keeping God's commandments to the best of your ability) repent of your sins, and never leave God,ask Him to dwell in you and you in Him.Love Him,ask Him to lead ,guide, and direct you throughout your daily life.Talk to Him in prayer, develop a close personal relationship with Him,after all He is your Father,he created your very soul. You will be amazed at how your life will change. I know, I did exactly what I'm telling you do do ten years ago and my blessings have been too numerous to count.I'll never look back.
As a child I always felt that there was more to God's word than what I was being taught, guess what I was right. But it took a good bible teaching ministry to give me eyes to see and ears to hear God's word. That ministry is The Shepherd's Chapel from out of Gravette,Ark.U.S.A..Search it on the internet, don't be fooled by what the critics say, study with them for a week, daily (which you can do on the internet site) and be the judge yourself. If you think they're full of it,then dump them, they're not pleading for people to come study with them, they have thousands that do and would never go elsewhere.Better yet they don't beg for your money for 50 minutes and give you one or two scriptures over the course of an hour.If your serious, and want to be a more devout christian this is your lucky day.God bless you,and if you ever want to contact me for more info my email address is ebelong2003@yahoo.co.uk

Be aware, Many new Christians make the mistake of getting saved, and then trying to go on living the way they used to, on their own, you cannot do that anymore. You must live differently from the world, things that we believe are basically the opposite of what the world tells us to believe. Our life is a life of freedom, if we choose it, we must give over every decision and choice to God, He wants us to never have to worry about anything again. This sounds to good to be true, but it is actually true, You now have the Holy Spirit in you, listen to it. It is wiser and more valuable than anything in this world. Help it grow through God's word, try the Message version, it is very reader friendly and I love it. Pray true prayers, God is not tame and will not be conformed to what we want Him to be, but you can ask anything and it will happen if it is not asked out of pride but according to God's will. He knows our hearts, if you seek Him He will find you, be earnest and humble, Hand your life over to Him and He will take care of you, I live with no worries and no plans for the future, I pray every day for guidance and He guides my steps. Love God, you are His child now, Rejoice!

Set a good example for other Christians. There are too many people not liking us (I too am a devout Christian) because many in our faith are backstabbing hypocrites. Don't fall victim to blindly following your church, only blindly follow our God (have faith). Even Revelations states that "Christians" will end up being the ones who persecute Christians. Also, don't push our religion on other people, let our faith touch others through our actions.

Well let me start by congratulating you on this move. This will change your life forever . My advice to you is that you seek help from the church, and join groups of fellow christians that can help you grow spiritually. Most important of all ask God for help, and for the holy spirit to be in you. You will undergo temptation, but God will not test you beyond your limits.

You made the right decision.

If by more devout, you mean a more intimate relationship with God, then you need to spend time with God and get to know him. This is done through prayer, scripture reading, and quiet meditation.

Spending time with other believers is also important, as collectively we are the Body of Christ!

Become a Pentecostal Holiness. Then you can shout, dance, speak in tongues, and handle rattle snakes, Hallelujah. xx

I think you have to kill a whole lot of women, children and men who won't convert. Then, buy a gun, watch The passion of the Christ, have half of your brain removed and if you're real lucky, they'll let you into the winner's circle, the clergy, where you get to molest children and make a whole lotta money off the people you manage to sell this lie to. God Bless!
