I've never felt threatened by hell. I've always believed in God. There was never a question about fear or punishment. I just always have. He has always been a friend when I need him and always there for me.
It's love not fear that motivates me. As for rewards. They are good and it's nice to get something back, but I really don't love God for rewards. I love him because he loves me.

Good question!
Naturally, all the christians say fear of punishment doesn't even enter their minds.
They threaten all the rest of us with eternal damnation out of the goodness of their hearts.
It is the One True Way.

After you get to know God and who he is it don't matter anymore about the motive of why you worship. it becomes a genuine Love for him. sometimes it takes fear to discover the Beauty of God.

If it grow to be so considerable, he could've placed it on the acceptable shelf. you do no longer placed your suited china on your youngster's toybox and anticipate it to no longer get tampered with, in spite of the main properly behaved little ones.

I am not afraid of hell...To be honest, when I first learned about Christianity, I was afraid, but after learning what a relationship with God is REALLY about, I don;t even think about that. I worry about OTHERS going there though, thats why I talk to people about Jesus, its not becuase I wan't to "push my beliefs" on them, but becuase I care about them.

What you're going to get in these answers are a bunch of Christians saying that they would; and then threatening people with eternal hell in their answers to other questions.

To quote Friedrich Nietzsche, "I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time."
Hence cannot worship a being that needs it's ego stroked all the time.
