On the Brother Of Yeshua Blog (see http://brotherofyeshua.blogspot.com/ ) it is demonstrted that while Christians claim to rely upon the New Testament, it is the very scriptures they champion that rejects their doctrines of belief as being turned out of TheWay. Where the modern Church promotes the doctrine that they are saved by Grace regardless of the manner they live their lives, Peter warns that: "It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them." Every Christian should ask themselves: How Can This Be??? Christians promote the doctrine that only those who believe can be saved. Yet. both Peter and Paul warn that the opposite is true - that those people who claim to believe, may be worse off after they have come to believe, than before they began to believe. That Christians can't come to terms with this fact, is because they cling to manmade beliefs.

At work the other day a few co-workers were candidly mentioning that rather than take the time and effort to connect personally with family members, they find it easier to give expensive gifts to "buy them off". I think I've done this in the past too, now that I think about it. Do you ever do this? It seems to be an acceptable practice.

Hi Everyone!! :o)

I hope everyone is OK.

I'd like to wish ALL of you a very...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Even to those of you who don't 'believe'.

You know something?

Christmas isn't JUST about 'believing in Jesus' and celebrating HIS birth, etc. In fact - for some - it's not about 'that' at all. It IS - however - a time for ALL OF US - regardless of what we may believe - to celebrate the idea of LOVE and to appreciate that a LIFE without LOVE - is no life at all.

Thinking of others and caring for others and DOING for others is what the spirit of Christmas is all about.

So I say again..

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

GREAT BIG HUG

Craig!! :o)

PS - How do you plan on making someone's Christmas extra special?!

I mean seriously, I make 10.50 an hour and it is barely enough to just support me. Are they selling drugs or something on the side?

Hi all, and Merry Whatnots.
Just a thought -
Why do women generally walk with arms swinging back & forth, flailing around, when us blokes tend to just stick our hands in our pockets ?
Hey Ho.

(Devil's Advocate again)

from belief.net:

The Gospels according to Matthew and Luke both say that Jesus was born in Bethlehem. According to Luke, Joseph and Mary were from Nazareth but had to travel to Bethlehem to be counted in a census ordered by Caesar Augustus. Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem during this trip. In Matthew, Joseph and Mary are actually natives of Bethlehem, and Jesus is apparently born at home. After Jesus' birth, the family flees to Egypt and then to Nazareth to escape a slaughter of baby boys in Bethlehem ordered by the Jewish king Herod.

There is no record historically of a census ordered at that time. (And there should be, after all, it was a CENSUS).

Also, why do the gospels disagree? I thought there were no contradictions in the bible.

I think religion can control people but a relationship with God can set them free from life's controlling fears. Jesus said who the Son sets free is free indeeed. Tell me your thoughts. Are you free? Why or why not?

I seem to have met more people this year that have just decided to give up on Xmas altogether. Others do the politically correct thing and dodge it alltogether by taking a distant vacation. What's your view on this? Are you skipping it this year????
