Yes it takes trees to make the paper the quran is printed on so it does involve the invironment. It helps destrroy it.
I have three translations of that thing called the quran. sure is miss used just as the bible is. Most of what people quote is not what it says.

I always heard it called the koran. Why the nonsensical re-spelling, since it's all a phonetic anglicization of arabic symbols, anyway? No one pronounces it any different from "koran" now.
