I mean seriously, I make 10.50 an hour and it is barely enough to just support me. Are they selling drugs or something on the side?

Yeah, we sell drugs, our bodies, etc. Seriously, me and my hubby just make do. We are not poor. We have cable/Internet, phone. Live in a very nice area. Have money for groceries and added expenses. We just learn to roll with it. We make sure our bills are paid first and our child is happy. I do not want to keep up with the "Jone's" so to speak. We are happy, in love and always will be, no matter what our income is. I'd be happy in a mansion or a cardboard box. We both work and we have not had any problems financially in a long time. It's life. You just deal with it.

I am a single mom who doesn't make much more than that and I DONT, repeat DO NOT get any kind of governmental assistance because I make too much! HA! That's is one of the things that really makes me mad about our country. The rich don't want there to be a middle class anymore, they want the rich and the poor. So if people do decide to do things to supplement their income by selling drugs, just know its not for fun its for survival.
Also, Americans over extend! How many people have credit cards? EVERYONE you know right? The big business almost requires you to have and use credit in order for you to have a good credit score. If you don't know your, credit score is everything! They even base your car insurance on your freaking credit score.
Bottom line, they don't want you to make it. You just have to be determined to survive and live up to the standards that you feel comfortable. Prioritize and budget, maybe get a 2nd job that is legal. The last thing you want is to go to jail.
Life is hard, just dont give in or give up!
Merry Christmas

People on minimum wage are teenagers mostly and still in school and living with their parents. Some are college students living in dorms or with friends.

Adults who make minimum wage ( ones who are not in university or in high school ) sometimes still live with their parents. Most of them still do live with their parents. Those who do not might sell drugs but that is not all people. Many of them who do not live with their parents might work two jobs or 60 hours a week to make it.

I am sure they have government help, free lunch for kids, they live in cheap housing and may work more than one job also. I think drug sales may supplement some peoples income very well-but then they wouldn't be poor then, would they?
