Are there people who actually think that spells and magic are literal devices that can control the world? Or do they take the more spiritual perspective and see these rituals and practice as symbolic means to get in touch with their own spirituality? If they take the magic literally, how the heck do they provide evidence for the delusion?

I met some Australians on my trip in London and fell in love with them. I am gay, but the accent on both the men/women turned me on terribly. Why would that alone make me feel that I want to move and live in Australia?

And as "evidence" you site such things as the Paluxy riverbed tracks or the Burdick print. All of which have been thoroughly de-bunked.
Why is it that you have to resort to such outright lies?
(the paluxy prints were faked and when it was discovered by actual scientists, the parts of the riverbed were taken away and "hidden" by creationist frauds.)
When the Burdick print was shown to be the result of carving by the nephew of the carver himself, some of you still refuse to admit the truth.
Here is the excerpt;

"At least one man is known to have carved several "man tracks" in Glen Rose during the 1920's and 1930's. In 1970 a Glen Rose resident, Wayland Adams, stood before a group of creationists and described the technique his uncle George Adams used to carve such tracks. First, a suitable-sized stone slab would be found (preferably one that already had some depressions, to save carving time), and a shady spot under a tree would be selected as a workshop...

To be continued

ok,i had this dream...and i wanna know,does this dream mean anything?or is it just a jumble of stuff from my subconcious?

Okay,i'm riding around my neighborhood on my bike and i stop at this park thing where a buncha kids are at, which is weird 'cause theres nothing close to a park in my neighorhood and so im just doing something, and i start kinda dancing like a ballerina...i dont like em, i just like the grace and stuff and i can't really dance ballet. so then i stop,ride around and i come back,and the boys whistle n stuff at me cause i guess the wind flipped up my skirt, i dont usually wear skirts,and is showing my panties,so i pull it back down and start heading home when their dorky boy who's from middle or highschool asks me if i wanna go out.i say no and keep riding.so i'm mumbling to myself how i dont wanna date and things,then suddenly i realize he's following me,so im pedalling faster and faster,trying to lose him but it's hard. so i turn down this street and i see this old friend in the neighborhood as a kid again in their family's van,and i kinda beg her to help,she looks at me then the guy,who's suddenly in a go-cart and she says to me,"uh-uh,i dont like him" so i yell over my shoulder,"but i dont like him either!" so i keep riding and i'm near my street and i glance over,and he's in a car with some man,and i scream,"go away or i swear to god i'll call the police"as i pull out my cellphone and wave it at them to prove i will.dork boy gets out and starts following me and i get the feeling he has a gun,so im pedalling and i look down at my phone,watching my fingers press 911,then i wake up.

I'm a self proclaimed wiccan. I don't know if I should call myself a witch even though I have been taking classes for a couple of months. I keep my spell & ritual infomation saved in files on my computer and I'm still working on getting my altar supplies together. Anyway, I want to know how other wiccans carry on in their daily life? I want to hear from a witch what is the daily lifestyle of a witch?

Before I ask my question let me point out that I do believe in God (Deist) but I'm having problems with the Christian view of hellfire. Now I do understand that God gave us free will to do what we want to do, and also believe that free will and God's knowledge do not conflict. BUT in the same time God is omniscient. So He knows every single thing in this world, big or small, good or bad, and of course He knows the past, future and present. That means the time God creates a human He already knows what choice would this person make, without forcing him to choose anything, and He knows that when He makes this person he will make a bad choice, subsequently leadig him to hell. So God knew that this person will eventually go to hell, but nevertheless made him. I'm not implying that God could make mistakes, as I believe He knows exactly what's He doing, but the fact that made people who He is certain will make bad choices and go to hell, and this contradicts with the fact that God is merciful

My best friend is in town from Minnesota (she's going to school there). This is her first winter in a very cold climate; she's moved to Minnesota from south Texas. What should I get her for Christmas? I'm looking for something very inexpensive; I'm very tight with money and she understands why. I want it to be something that shows I care. It needs to be small enough to take back with her on a plane and something that would get through security at the airport without any problems. Help!
