Before I ask my question let me point out that I do believe in God (Deist) but I'm having problems with the Christian view of hellfire. Now I do understand that God gave us free will to do what we want to do, and also believe that free will and God's knowledge do not conflict. BUT in the same time God is omniscient. So He knows every single thing in this world, big or small, good or bad, and of course He knows the past, future and present. That means the time God creates a human He already knows what choice would this person make, without forcing him to choose anything, and He knows that when He makes this person he will make a bad choice, subsequently leadig him to hell. So God knew that this person will eventually go to hell, but nevertheless made him. I'm not implying that God could make mistakes, as I believe He knows exactly what's He doing, but the fact that made people who He is certain will make bad choices and go to hell, and this contradicts with the fact that God is merciful

Hey, it sounds like you are starting to think for yourself and that is great. I am not sure what your question is though.
Thease are the same questions that I asked myself while leaving religion, and then faith and settling for what I would lable pantheism.
I don't think you need an answer on anything right now, just keep asking yourself questions about what you really beleive and the answers will come in due time.

Very inciteful! God created Adam and Eve. A and E created the rest.(My opinion, of course). God is omniscient and his creations are to fufill the prophecies, OT and NT. His knowledge of humanity is perfect, and as one who believes in the cannonized Bible, His mercy is perfect. His mercy is for the ones who believe and FOLLOW His will. Saying that, free will is the deciding factor. He will call all of mankind to Him through His son Jesus Christ, some will answer, some will not. His mercy is the fact that He calls everyone and lets them choose to live or die.

It does seem that God did a reckless thing when He gave us free will but if you truly love someone you want them to be all that they can be and to curtail their freedom would not be the act of a lover.
A Father goes to watch his Sons first boxing match and is horrified at the opponent and he knows that his Son is going to receive one good hiding, and so he says to the boy that he would rather he didn`t do it,and the Son replies` It`s okay Dad I know what I am doing so please do not try to stop me`
Okay the kid gets a real hiding, so how was the Father to stop this ,he would have to actually take his freedom of choice away and this in spite of the outcome would have been wrong.

Creation was made for the glory of God, not for the sake of humanity first of all.. next read Romans 9. it wil only take a few minutes. this explains it for you. I'd also reconsider your thinking on free will. If God knows the future, then we can't do anything else then what God knows we will do. If God knows that tomorrow you will have a bowl of cornflakes for breakfast, are you fre to choose waffles?

but, those folks DO have the opportunity to make the choice for salvation. God gives them every chance. Many more than a few chances. Why blame God for those who choose to harden their hearts and deny God. Put the blame where it belongs.....at the feet of those who refuse the Truth.
oh, by the way.....
it is not the Christian's view of hellfire.....
it is God's view of hellfire. that the Christians believe in.

God didn't give free will to any one . Adam and Eave took fruit from the tree of knowledge after Eave was tempted by the serpant. Now with knowledge is free will and choices. The rest is history.

well.. i believe even if God is omniscient he still gave us free will. SO he doesnt really control our lives because we can change our own destiny. God just has something in mind for us but we can still change this with our own free will. Why would God create us evil? or make us do bad things right? it would'nt make sense to do that... so yea.

Don't YOU = Believe GOD and HIS WORD?
(Revelation 20:11-to-15) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
(Rev 20:12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
(Rev 20:13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
(Rev 20:14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
(Rev 20:15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Thanks, RR

Excellent question...
The answer is found in Romans 9:14-24
What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION." So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE I RAISED YOU UP, TO DEMONSTRATE MY POWER IN YOU, AND THAT MY NAME MIGHT BE PROCLAIMED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE EARTH." So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires. You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?" On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it? Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use? What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction? And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.

Actutally, evil is the absence of God, and since he has granted us free will, even if he knows that we will end up in hell, that's our choice, not his. So, there is ultimate perfection in that.
