What I do believe is that no realizes the full potential of the human brain. We can do amazing things with our mind. You need to get in touch with that part of ourselves. This is what I believe spells are.

I do not try to control the world - there are somethings that I can do, that's all. Most people can barely control their temper or control a bow and arrow, nevermind a world. Control is not what it is about. That said; personally I do use magic. Since I am not trying to prove anything to you or to anyone else - and I don't care if anyone believes in magic or not, generally unless I am asked explicitly I do not tell them how I did it. Usually no one cares - they are just happy with the results, so I provide no evidence other than getting things done.
If you want to know how I think it works - it's pretty simple. The edge of the universe is the present moment in time. It's like a bubble that has been expanding outward from the point in space and time that was the place of beginning. The past is everything inside the bubble, and the future is outside it in the uncreated nothingness. Any one of us can pre-view a possible future beyond the bounds of the present moment. If I focus very strongly on a certain outcome or a certain probability - that pattern of events just seems to happen. The future is superpositional - all possible futures which are equally likely to exist may exist and by focussing our attention on a possible future we must be causing it to become more likely to occur as the event approaches the boundary of past and future in the present moment. I suspect this is related to the effect in quantum mechanics called "the observer effect".

Surprisingly, there are many who do. But most of those are new to the practice and have a Hollywood image of what spells do. Those are the people who usually get disappointed rather quickly and drop the whole thing.
The rituals are symbolic. It's a way to focus one's own mind and energy towards a desired result. To strengthen resolve and helps the person concentrate on the result. A lot of it is psychological... some of which is akin to self-hypnosis.
They can't provide evidence. http://www.randi.org/

1. yes
2. Some see it one way and others see it the other.
3 and conclussion. Firstly you have to understand the Wiccan religion is made up up many sub religions, much like the Christians. However unlike the Christians only a few of these religions give themselves a name; most just go by Wiccan. Now as for the proof, they see no need to prove anything to anybody and instead elect to be at peace with everybody around them.
However I want you to think over this question. What do you think would happen to somebody who did prove it. Let say a witch decided to show the World by creating fire in her/his hand. What would happen to that witch?
lab rat, witch hunts, what do you think?

The power of thought and consciousness is the most powerful force in the universe.
When I teach Qigong, or Hawai'ian mysticism; one of the first things I have people do is direct their life force (ch'i) at a cloud and punch a hole in a cloud.
Sifu Paul Dong once knocked down a line of 30 people that was on the other side of a sheet of plywood and never touched any of them.
Frank Dux once set the world record of the one man tug of war. He was kneeling on a pad while a line of 26 men were trying to pull him frm his place. The photo of this is in his autobiography "The Secret Man"
I once saw a man break a 2.5 inch shaft of bamboo over the trachea of a Qigong master with no injury to the Qigong master.
The human mind body and soul is far more powerful than 98% of the world's population believes possible.
By using the power of consciousness; I have bent time; seen literal miracles happen under my hands during healings, and much more.
The kahuna ana ana literally killed people with the power of their focused mind.

Hi there,
I'm not sure you're really interested in an answer by the use of the word "delusion", but quantum physics can easily explain this.
By simply looking at an object, we change its atomic structure.
Intent is an extremely powerful thing.
I won't speak for all witches, as we all have different perspectives.
But, we aren't out to control the world. Our spells and rituals are to change ourselves.. polish the mirror of our souls.. and we can and do change things in our lives with them.
If you're truly interested in this subject, I highly recommend Laurie Cabot's "The Power of the Witch". It explains in detail the scientific principles of the craft.

I believe in the magical approach to creating reality. Ceremonies and rituals are a way of harnessing this natural power. They are not the power itself. I do agree about the more spiritual perspective, and I feel practical magic is a part of my own spirituality.--------I don't believe we create the world for others, but we co-create a shared world.

Magic is like god at work, in a sense. You don't see it, but those that beleive know it's there.
I've never met a wiccan who thought that they could do anything dramatic like bringing lighting or cause an earthquake or anything that you could watch happen. More along the lines of help a plant grow well or instill a sense of *whatever* in a new born baby.
And the evidence? You've just gotta change your personal perspective to see it.

I'm not Wicca, witch, or any of that, yet in my works I have used spell of the magic. Most devices are used as energy, an instrument of the faith. One is the power, realizing ones own inherit powers is the practice of this knowledge.

You don't have to be a witch to believe in the power of intentions. Thoughts are things. Witches just use other tools to help clarify and strengthen their intentions. Prayer is a form of doing the same thing, so is having faith. It's not magic, it's magick! It's not believing you can turn a frog into a prince, it's about believing that you can achieve your dreams.

you could look at it as the power of thought , or intent ... and yes there is proof of such having an effect on people
so the spells are a tool for the intent , therefore would show effect
but fortunatly most Wiccans i know , would not use this in a way to take away free will or harm anyone , so generally the spell is for the benefit of mankind or personal development
