There is a prophetic statement (Hadith) in Sahih Muslim that tell us that prophet Muhammed said:

"On judgement day, the sun will get too close to the earth. When the sun gets 1 Mile away from the earth, people will start to SWEAT. Good believers will not sweat much, while bad people will sweat much more"

Did prophet Muhammed really think that we will ONLY SWEAT when we get 1 Mile away from the sun????

I thought we would BURN if we get MILES AWAY from it

When I was in Bucks, my neighbour used to stand in his front room and paint himself green. People were complaining about it. I thought he was ok. A bit strange maybe. He was an old Russian Refusenik and had been in a Gulag. Met him down the pub once and he invited me back to see some art work, which I thought was pretty good. He'd put a couple of dormer windows in the loft and made a nice studio out of it.

May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.. May you be content knowing you are a child of God.... Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

Happy Holy Days to All

Peace and Love

I read of a study that people take a much longer time to get out of a parking space when a car is waiting to take it vs when there is no car waiting. I have a perception that people slow down on purpose.

Come on. It's CHRISTMAS time. Oh no! I said it! Well, the other day I was watching QVC and they don't say "Merry Christmas" to you unless you say it to them first. They say, "Happy Holidays!". Well, no offense to my Jewish peeps or the Kwanza celebrators, because those are great holidays as well, but I want to know why can't we just say Merry Christmas? And people should just ask, "So what are you celebrating this year?" And if they answer something, wish them a happy....blah blah blah. And like on Nickelodean the other day, they said "Happy (insert holiday choice here). Well, how are we supposed to say "Happy Merry Christmas?" Yeah, that came from a genious. SO anyways, why must we be SO unbelieveably politally correct? Christmas only last 2 days if you include Christmas eve! GEEZ! That's like saying, "Happy Holidays" Valentine's day because of the Chinese New Year. It's one day, so let's not be politically correct.

My boss says we're not allowed to say Merry Christmas because it may be offensive to others. Why is it then if some one says to me "Happy Hanuka!" , or "Merry Quanza", I'm supposed to smile and say it back to them. Im not prejudice or anything like that, but if they can say that to me, why can't i simply say Merry Christmas to them?

I am talking about the birth of Christ, not the "you'll shoot your eye out" movie, lol. I can't seem to find one fit for a toddler that gives the story where they could understand it.
Please don't give me answers of Christ was not born on Christmas, and there is no God. Its all been said and done.
