"Seeing' something in a near death experience -
Seems to happen with the changing chemical balance, when oxygen is denied the brain . . .
Who knows? no one who has truly ceased life, has returned to tell us what happens next . . .

I'd love to think that it was heaven, but according to the evidence I've seen it has to do with the Brain shutting down and making death less painful for a person.
From WikiPedia:
" (Hieronymous Bosch)
A near-death experience (NDE) is a type of experience reported by a person who nearly died, or who experienced Clinical death and then revived. Some experts on the phenomenon believe it can be explained as hallucinations produced by the brain as it dies, while others believe that such an explanation cannot account for all the evidence (van Lommel, 2004). The experience is quite common, especially since the development of cardiac resuscitation techniques. According to a Gallup poll approximately eight million Americans claim to have had a near-death experience (Mauro, 1992). NDEs are among the phenomena studied in the field of parapsychology."

I think this is a neat question. I have wondered myself what will happen when I go. (I have seen those before) I also saw a documentary about 4-5 yrs ago that kind of shot that theory down too. This guy was a scientist and had an explanation of why everybody that has died and been brought back expereinces pretty much the same thing. He said it had something to do with the final moments of the brain shutting down and the things it goes thru. Kind of like a computer shutting down. It goes through a sequence of events. I dont remember exactly what his exlanation for everything was(wish I had taped it) but he had one.(a scientific one for all). One was lack of oxygen, one was brain cells doing something or other. (Darn, I wish I could remember) , etc. he went on to explain that first because of whatever your brain does this and you experience that, next because of whatever you exerience this or that. (So many minutes for each thing to occur.) get the book titled EMBRACED BY THE LIGHT, I forget the author, but it is a woman. She writes about her near death experience and even gives a number at the back of the book so you can call her. Came out about 10 yrs. ago.

I have had a couple of near death experiences, as well as some other extraordinary experiences. I believe it is entirely possible they saw what they understood to be heaven, since my beliefs on the subject are consistent. But note I say "what they understood to be heaven." I think we all have images which differ in some respects, and we basically wake up where we expect to be. Then, as we get used to the idea of being dead, a guide appears to take us further on.
The guide appeared and told me to go back, which is consistent with several other people's experiences.

Revelation 21:10 through 27 describes Heaven and some interesting facts: Heaven is only 607 feet and the length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. And there really are pearly gates (12 of them), read through this chapter of Rev.
God bless you!

those experiences are just to show mankind that there is life after death!but they call it heaven since that was their first experience.the beyond itself is all but beautiful, the fact that they perceive a part of it does not even take them a step close to heaven.
heaven is far from all these dimensions.for one to go to heaven, you will have to lose all the other bodies we have, and this takes time in the beyond!they will have to lose the astral, the ethereal, then the animistic before one can step into heaven.
a lot of people confuse just the astral realm for heaven just for its magnificent beauty.there is more to life than we think.
its just like telling someone from the country about 42nd street in new york city,he has heard a lot about thee lights so the moments he gets close to 34th street,it will be difficult to convince him that 42nd is ahead.to him, these light here are just enough.he is too excited to proceed!

No, I haven't been to Heaven, but I have been close ! Cleveland, Tennessee ! Headquarters of The Church Of God !!
Seriously, I didn't see the Program you mention, but I have seen several similar documentaries. I have no doubt that God has allowed people to see Heaven, and Hell, and to come back.

Well, I didn't see that show, but I don't think that anyone on this earth, alive, has ever seen heaven. Most likely this was a vision or something!
