How about people like Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and thier kids? How much do they get? Did Queen Elizabeth pay inheritance tax on what she got when her mother died?

I work long strange hours, so when I get a day off to rest, it's nice :) I like to sleep until at least 11:00, which is why I post do not disturb signs on my back and front door of our house.... well, it was 8:30 this morning and my dogs started going crazy.. I got up and someone was knocking on my door. Jehovah's Witnesses. I have nothing against them. I love everyone. They ask if they can tell me a story, I say no thank you, they proceed to tell me anyway . I thought a "no thank you" would be enough seeing as how they disregarded my signs ;) . I understand wanting to teach about your God, but why do people try to force it on you????

I know this was lengthy, thanks everyone, for letting me rant and ask my question =)

Why is it Merry Christmas and not Happy Christmas like any other wishes (Happy New year, Happy Chanukkah)?

I took Spanish for a couple years and I sing it for my mom every Christmas (I don't know why she gets such a kick out of it!). I can't find it and I know it doesn't translate exactly like our version so it's been really hard to find. Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

is there a simple rule to follow for when to use them when expressing the past in italian?

I was raised in an Eastern European country, and etiquette rules there state that it is only appropriate to go to your seat (in a theater or movies) facing people that are already in their seats.
When I came to the US for my college, I noticed that in America it is OK to pass to your seats by turning your back to people. I am wondering, is this considered the right way or there are no strict rules about it? 'Cause sometimes I still do it by facing people (old habits are hard to knock off!), and I wonder whether Americans think it is rude?

Why do Christians decorate christmas trees? Is there any particular reason for it? And the star on top, what does it signify?

Many years ago I knew someone who had a painting and it had a phrase/word written on it in Hawaiian. She said it translated into English as "Calm and Peaceful seas". I cannot remember the phrase, I believe it was only one word.
Can anyone help with what the Hawaiian word is?

It's about 1am here in South Australia and I'm in my PJ's, sitting on the computer at my mother's house - in the room I used to live in as a teenager... and it's kinda weird. Anyone else get the same feeling when they go 'home' for events?

I just read that love does not exist for atheists. How can anyone possibly be that close-minded and scared?

The Christmas Holidays are on us , Today my intention is to plant some seeds of love . These seeds can be so simple ,Example today I will NOT be in a hurry I will let anyone using their blinker in front of me, and as they get infront of me i will say a blessing for them. Invisble acts to them yes but a loving act from me.
Please list any ideas you have about spreading some love today in a big or small way. Merry Christmas and may the love of your GOD bless you and your family with an abundance of whatever your desiring today.
