A personal, but inexpensive gift is a picture frame. They have so many decorative style of frames now that you can get a nice one that is also unique. As a teacher, I love receiving frames because I always get pictures of students and I do not want to have to buy frames for the loose pictures I have.

Red apples are the 'standard' symbol for teachers and there are endless items available in the red apple theme.
Your kids could also help with many 'red apple' crafts. For example:
Thread colorful beads onto a red chinele wire and bend into the shape of an apple......wa lah.......tree ornament!

Get them a gift card to a store where they can buy classroom materials (Wal-Mart, dollar store, craft store, etc.) A lot of that comes out of their own pocket. Also maybe a decorative candle or basket.

A small inexpensive Christmas ornament would be nice. I remember each of my Sunday School kids when I decorate my tree every year.
