So far all I've heard is life, and the soltice. Anything else?

I just wonder if us Christians would be less bothered by the statement "it's a pagan holiday" if we really understood what was at the heart of that holiday.

Let me put it this way, to a Christian, Christmas is about the Birth of Christ - but what concepts are at the heart of that? Redemption, peace, good will...I would asume these are concepts that Pagans wouldn't be bothered by.

So Pagans - please share what's at the heart of your celebration - so we can all have a wonderful Christmas next week and enjoy the good concepts at the heart of that day - be it Pagan, Christian, whatever.

I am white and am not racist.. But if the tables were turned and a white man made a speech along the same lines.. Surely he would receive a prison sentence..

I mean unknown forces of evil are working strongly on some of their minds. They can't call their thoughts their own. Though they do have some ability to choose good or evil when they are not at their worst.

The Jews knew that Jesus could not die! Jesus, Son of God, had the power to bring Lazarus back from the dead, to walk on water, to heal the blind, and sick, to change water into wine! Why do people who wish the tree to be a pagan symbol only go back to that paticular time and place ? I like to go back to the third day, Genesis 1:11-13 here is where God created the trees.After that Pagans took as they usually do and tried to make somrthing bad of it.Christians today have taken and made something good out of it.These be my thoughts ,tell me yours.

the bible explains the antichrist will come to the earth. and he will make people worship him!! We all know that -we have seen this story in movies - but it will happen soon.

why are people so blinded about God's word? I mean millions of people ignore or want to ignore God's existance!!

I live in the south.When I watch the news people talking about the racist south,I say who are they talking about.I grew up here and I can count the racist I've met on one hand.When people move here from other parts of the country,they always say that race relations in the south is there biggest surprise.

WHY CAN'T THEY THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX AND SIMPLY TAKE THE BEST VALUES AND LESSONS OF THE BOOK, RATHER THAN ACTING AS IF IT'S LITERAL AND ARGUING OVER THE PROPHETS?

Jesus would roll in his grave if he learned how we totally got the message wrong. He was a smart man and had ideas, instead we had to put him on a pedestal and not worship his good ideas on good living, but instead worship him.

That's like saying guns are responsible for war. Religion is just a tool. The motive behind it is what causes war: human boredom. The mind must stay active by any means necessary. If it cannot learn or play, it will try to control.
