What he said is unacceptable in a civilized society. And to call bringing his comments into question racist is just plain idiotic. Nothing in the question is racist, so Edummy, learn to read and stop being so dumb! Racism is an attack on a race, not on a person. Dr. Kambon attacked a race so he is racist. The questioner didn't even attack Kambon in reply and certainly did not attack a race so he did nothing racist.

The question of whether or not you are a racist would make an interesting discussion, but it doesn't help explain the situation.

Consider this example, if you will: a parent and a child are sitting in a restaurant. If the child throws a tantrum and says "I hate you, I wish you were dead" would you react to the situation the same way if the conversation were reversed, and it was the parent who said to the child "I hate you, I wish you were dead"?

The answer, most likely, is probably not. That is because the adult, being 'older' and thus more 'mature' is held to a different standard of behavior than a child. In many respects, black equality is more metaphorical to being as a child's in development (Brown vs. Board of Education is less than 60 years old, the Civil Rights Acts are less than 50). While blacks have constantly argued for equal treatment (and the rights thereof) since arriving, they haven't actually been legally recognized as having them except within the last 50-60 years. That's a 150-200 year headstart whites have had; economically, legally and socially.

Even now, there are still many unknown (or known but not reported) practices of ensuring blacks bear an unproportionate share of blame and burden in this society. There will come a point where such statements WILL be on par with a white man's racism, and it is slowly happening, but to expect all blacks to simply forget their past (and the anger it entailed) is a bit.... bigoted.

Thats like me kicking and punching you in the stomach every day after school for years, and then stopping the last six months, but getting bent out of shape because you are still expessing anger and haven't 'gotten' over it. A bit disingenous. No one is ever far from the legacy of racism; the more you think you are, the less far you are likely to be.

No, it shouldn't be accepted. I'm Mexican American, and nobody can tell me about suffering racism. Through all our history, we've suffered invasions, slaveness. We were despiced and thrown away from our own land, and the entrance on some public places was prohibited to hispanics. But that is the past. If it is true that there's still very narrow-minded people, most of us are starting to see beyond the skin color. We all (African-Americans, Hispanics, Anglos, Asian-American, or any other ethnic origin) have to stop thinking what society is giving or taking from us, and we should start seeing what we can contribute to society, what we can do for others, to make this country a better place.

Racism against whites is "accepted" because historically white people have done the most damage to people of other colours. Does that make any of it right? No. But that's the reason why.

I have no idea who this person is, or his credentials, so I do not care, anymore than if my neighbor Ken says he wants to exterminate all black people. People say ignorant things all the time, including "educated" doctors of various disciplines.

What are you talking about? Ever heard of Freedom of Speech? Where have you been the past 200 years, is this the first guy you heard say something stupid? Just wait about 10 min, you will see people say stuff like that on this fourm, and they are not going to go to prison. How old are you 12? Read some history books, read your newspaper, watch the real news on TV.

If people are getting their daily does of current world affairs from YouTube, then i am fearful for the future of America!

that is crazy i didn't see it but if someone said that its unacceptable no matter what race you are to say any race should be exterminated its inhumane and he should have to answer for saying something like that just like anyone else who says things like that

I don't accept that and I'm sure most people don't. No one should accept genocide. The only reason people excuse it more is because, historically, white people have been the ones attacking blacks (in general, for example, slavery, segregation, discrimination, laws that deliberately hurt black people).

Who accepts it? And why do you think that people accept it? Racism is racism, period. And it shouldn't be tolerated, no matter who it is geared towards.
