does anyone know when the catholic schools close for the holidays?

It varies from school to school. Typically, they'll close for the holidays a little earlier than public schools (my brother's Catholic school closed on Thursday), but they'll come back around the same time (Jan. 2, usually).

mine closes Friday around noon, and stays closed until January 2.
