I think all genders have it pretty bad. The obvious answer would be women because we're objectified and have fewer job opportunities. However, men are just as constrained by gender roles. They have to be tough and macho all the time, which can be frustrating and hard (especially if that's not your personality). Men are expected to be the breadwinners and protectors. This can put a lot of pressure on men.

Both male and female receive about equal amounts of sexism, it just varies and depends on the environment your talking about. Certain traits, expectations, are required of a man. A woman nowadays is not under so much pressure as they used to be, it is expected that a man and a woman are equal in a relationship in all apsects of life. Yet how a man is perceived is often still much the same as to how it has always been, to be the breadwinner, hunter and protector etc. As a male, I would say that males receive more sexism than females, say 60/40.

I'm male, and think men get certainly as much sexism thrown their way. It's often merely ignored as it's somehow seen as more acceptable.

I for example, no nothing of cars, would rather watch a romcom than a sports channel, am an accomplished cook, fairly handy with a needle and thread, haven't got a clue about fuses, and enjoy walks with my wife as much as playing Xbox etc.

I am frequently met with people who assume I'm a beer swilling, mysoginist computer games geek who wants to listen to the football on my car stereo whilst fixing sparkplugs, and yelling at my "bird" to hurry up with the dishes.
For which I'm greeted with disdain.

If I point out that the suppostion is wrong, I'm seen as a wierdo.

Likewise chivalry seems to be taken as patronising or expected, but have yet to encounter anybody with a consistent reaction.

to be honest i think it's equal and that's my true opinion.Women are often more sensitive when it comes to sexism being seen as the 'weaker' sex and all but men and women aren't at all different apart from the obvious.no would say it's equal.

Women. Although they've come a long way, they still have the double burden and have to adopt male personas if they want to climb the cooperate ladder.
