I'm not Christian.......My friend just invited me to her mom's Jesus party for the kids. What is that? Do I need to bring her mom a gift? If so what is appropriate? She just lost her husband and I haven't seen her since funeral.

When we takem some copiest we are saying Single Copy, Duplicate Copy, Triplicate Copy, Quarduplicate Copy, after that I don't know how to say for Five, Six, Seven.... copies. For such kind of counting what is the name in English.

I keep reading answers like, "if you atheists don't believe, why do you keep coming here?" or "you wouldn't be arguing if you didn't have some doubt."

Whatever our reasons for being here, we are obviously here, and guess what..... SO ARE YOU!

So either your wish is for all the atheists/agnostics as well as people with other beliefs systems (Muslims, Buddhists, Pagans, etc) to leave, or you actually LIKE to read and discuss challenges to your faith, and maybe even gain some insight into other religions, and even non-religious belief systems!

Do you really expect us to believe you just want to sit around surrounded by like-minded individuals and endlessly preach to the converted? I seriously doubt it.

So why not be honest?

Back in Muhammad's time, the myth of the "sun setting into the earth" was commonly held. As you can see, the Quran perfectly captures the myth of its day.

If you believed that the setting place of the sun, was a place on earth, how could you better describe this event than the Quran does? Go ahead, describe a person find the sun in a muddy spring with more precision than the Quran.

All the leading translators agree on essentially the same version (check yourself). Zul Qarnain was "travelling", not standing still and "mispercieveing" the suns resting place.

Where did Zul-Qarnain "travel" to? He travelled to the "place" where the "sun" "set" "IN" the "muddy spring" (some translators say black ocean) and he "found" it "in" the muddy spring. Crystal clear.

I've realized that sometimes Christians will give a passage or two from the Bible to an atheist as if that's supposed to prove something. If an atheist doesn't believe in your god, why would quotes in your god's book be any better or any more believed in by them? In fact, most atheists have read more of the Bible than most Christians. And a lot of times, it's BECAUSE of reading it (fully) that they turned to atheism. And yet some you Christians will take things out of context from the Bible and present it to atheists as if that's supposed to mean something.

In the 5 person office I work for, the two higher-ups gave the worker bee's gifts (~$30), and the 3rd highest person gave me (and everyone else, I assume) inexpensive gifts ($1-2). I'm the 4th highest person, and the newest to the organization. I also make less than the others. I sent everyone holiday cards before the gifts were given. Should I give everyone small gifts? The two higher ups make 2-4+ times my income, so any real gift that is big money to me is small potatos to them. And the #2 has said many times that she does not want any more "stuff", only consumables. That being said, should I get them something??

I'm from Delhi and living out of India for almost over 12years. In 2003 I contacted my far-related Brother-in-Law who is managing a Buying house in WEST Delhi for a USA based importer. I asked him to help me to relocate in Netherlands as I was told by him, he has his own company & warehouse there, which later I found was a lie. Instead of it he asked me to work on 50% profit partnership with them in China and help them establish office there. I was carried by the dreams they showed and failed to see real picture. I made 3 visit to china during that year before taking both brothers (Brother-in-law and his younger brother). During that trip I realized I'm been used as a guide to show them various places in China and found myself working as Pimp for them as they could not speak Chinese and need me to arrange girls for them. later his younger keep coming to China and on each trip every evening engage in sexual activities, once he even made intercourse in front of me. I was weak and tolerated all this as I badly needed business. But later I refused to work with them and parted away when they ask me to arrange call-girl for an employee who they brought on one of the trip. I just could not stop feeling low & guilty about myself. During one of trip to Delhi they arrange Russian Call girl for me also which I took to give them face but stayed away from her due to fear.

What make me confuse is that
1. Every time they made sex on that very same bed in hotel room they will say prayers - Are they thanking God and asking him to provider better girl next day or asking for forgiveness, if forgiveness then why God is partial
2. Why after leaving them due to fear of GOD, I'm without work and income since last Jan 2005 till now. Is my faith in him was weak or he virtually did not care or rich can get better favor from him then others.

I know I should have not worked with them, be a pimp for them or first place weak to do all this. Now when I have done it, rejected it for future by turning away it then why I'm subjected to his law and not them, as I found they are getting blessed more and much everyday then me.

Is GOD real or just myth

I was Baptist but have stop going to church since then as I'm not clear if my worship, knowledge is correct, is my decision to turn away was right

Please advise where I made mistake, should I go back and be pimp or GOD is partial in delivering his judgment as I have no money to offer to him

my mom says there a 'cult' but they are not she wants me not to ever become one but i think that is my choice.I have spend alot of time on watchtower.org and the reasons they dont celebrtae holydays really makes sense to me.I really feel I should become one.But my mom will not hear of it.Is there any way I can stay in Bible truth,without displeasing my mom.

Went to my high school today, and they had a fundraiser for one of my old teachers who is sick. They were selling candy bars for a dollar, so I gave 20 dollars for one. Then I decided that I would give another 100 dollars too, just because I like the teacher very much and she honestly means the world to me. The guy in charge didn't take my money straight off--asked me if my mother knew I was giving that much money--I said that it's my own money--I sorted garbage for a month for that money, and I can do whatever I want with it. He said okay but told me to think about it. I said I didn't want to think about it--I knew what I was doing. He made me go think about it for 2 hours but I made him take the money for my teacher eventually. I'm more than happy to give it, but I do feel bad a little, because I was just trying to do something nice, and I was hassled about it. Was it because of my age or because everyone knows I'm poor? Even so, is that right?

I received a low-fat cookbook from my father-in-law for Christmas a few years back. However, we didn't see him to exchange gifts until March, and by then I had lost 20 lbs. (which was all I needed to lose). Then he and his wife said "but it looks like you don't need it now". Was that really insensitive or is it just me?

What do I do about this. They came into our house and sort of brainwashed her. Really I think she did it for her boyfriend who was the mormon religion. I don't like it.
