The right religion for you is the one that works for you. The one that helps you to be the best you can be, to treat others with compassion and respect, to accept the mysteries and pains of life and go on with courage and hope, to pass a little light on to others. If it helps you to do all this without being a jerk about it, so much the better. The right religion for you might not be the right religion for me, as each preson is different .

Mabey there is bits and pieces that are right about all of them. Unless you can understand ancient foreign languages and have full access to the vatican vault I doubt you will ever find the answer to this. But at least you are asking open minded questions. Keep this open mind and you will discover a lot about life. Best of luck with your journey. ps follow your heart it is a great religion to apply to your life.

The true religion is the one with the most truth, not the one that is most convenient for you, or the one that makes you feel good, or the one that your friends, family, neighbors etc. belong to, or the one that steps on your toes the least, or the oldest, or the biggest, or the most popular, or the latest fad. Truth is all that matters.
Religions can be divided into two camps.
Religions of works and religions of faith.
Religions of works mean that there is something you must do to earn salvation. Salvation is by you doing something that will somehow make you acceptable to some higher power. Penance, sacrifices, indulgences, pilgrimages, fasting, rituals. You get the drift.
All religions except one known to man are religions of works. Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, all eastern religions, animism, native american religions, Catholicism, paganism, etc. All teach that there is something you must do to earn eternal life, a higher station in life, nirvana, heaven, whatever you want to call it.
Religions of faith teach that there is nothing you can do in any way shape or form that will earn you eternal life. Christianity is the only religion of faith. You are born a sinner, and there is nothing you can do to lift yourself out of your sinful state. No matter how hard you try or what meditation you do, you can not drive sin out of your life. It invades every fiber of your being, every atom in your body. You can not beat it out of you. Sin can not be wished out, or worked out, or fought out. There is only one thing a sinner can do, that is surrender to Jesus, the Redeemer who substitutes His life of perfection for our lives of failure. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, His robe of righteousness covers our naked imperfections and we are declared righteous before a Holy God.
It is this type of religion that answers the needs of sinful humanity. Any one who has tried to cease from sinning, and has seriously looked at their lives realizes how impossible it is to bring every thought, every action under control. Christianity is the only religion that offers hope for the lost sinners. The religions of works all depend on mankind, frail and weak. They are doomed to fail because they depend on sinful humans. Christianity depends instead on Christ, the author and finisher of our faith, the Creator, the Sustainer, the Savior of men.
Within Christianity, there are many religions. To find the truth, one must find the religion that adheres to the Bible and the Bible only. God has His church out there in the world. Satan has sown tares among the wheat so as to disguise the true church and confuse the seeker. We are promised that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth if we are truly seeking. How about you? Are you a true seeker?

The bible says you would know it by the fruits it produced and it's followers would have love among themselves. Love and Truth being two fruits but there are many more.
(Matthew 7:12-20) “All things, therefore, that YOU want men to do to YOU, YOU also must likewise do to them; this, in fact, is what the Law and the Prophets mean. 13 “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it. 15 “Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits YOU will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? 17 Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; 18 a good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. 19 Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Really, then, by their fruits YOU will recognize those [men].

There are truths in all religions.
Explore different religions until you find one you can believe, and more importantly answers YOUR spiritual questions.
