Am I crazy? Am I the only one who, since the advent of the internet, people have started saying, "I was waiting on line" instead of "I was waiting in line". Hello??????

well no disrespect intended, but i mean every other holy book has only one version, take the torah or the koran. Was the new version the words of god or jesus aswell, or just some rich religious people who would be benifited with the new edited version. As far as i know the new version was made many years after jesus's time. If so, then why do billions of people follow what may not be what god had said in the first place, nor jesus. Is this not what the old time bishops intended, or where they really just commited to blashphemy. Makes you go "hmmmmmmmmm", it does.

I am recently divorced and would like to find a good self help book to read...plz don't say the Bible, which is of course, the ultimate. I'm wanting a book geared towards Christians who have gone thru a divorce (even better geared towards women, too.)

Any Suggestions?

Strange question to ask - but I was recalling my early childhood in Norfolk and I remember seeing a skull embedded in a river or broad with an axe through it. I was terrifed. I vaguely remember that it could have been at Burgh Castle or it was in a place where there had been a battle involving the Saxons, Romans or Danes. I was only 5 at the time.

My boss thinks we're pagans because we hold Sunday as the Sabbath and celebrate Christmas and Easter. We don't get paid for our holidays and are forced to take his w/o pay as well. Everyone must leave the building before dark on Fridays as well because of his religion.
Is PCG a cult?

I know Charities make money by collecting used postage stamps and picture postcards. I know you can recycle used christmas cards either giving them to schools for scrap paper etc or by putting them in the paper recycling bins. Some of the cards are really lovely and it seems a dreadful waste to discard them. I know some people make gift tags out of them. Does anyone have any other ideas?

I'm looking for serious answers here. Nothing along the lines of "duh" or "of course".

I'm just wondering, because I haven't been able to find a woman who thinks that it's important for a man to live his life with integrity. Most women that I know think that it's great when a man is unfaithful, lazy, bullying, and dishonest in general. They view him as being a "bad boy" who has "edge" and is a "challenge".

On the other hand, a man who is confident, mentally and physically healthy, a community leader, intelligent, romantic, honest, and would be a devoted husband and father, is seen as "boring" and "too nice".

Why is this? Do these women have low self-esteem and think that they don't deserve better . . . or, do men of integrity have to start being losers in order for women to appreciate them?

I look forward to your intelligent and well-thought-out answers.

so a delusion is the belief that somethings exists or is a certain way even when there is no evidence outside of one's own mind to support this claim.

how is this different from religious belief?

and don't cloak it in terms of faith - faith is an artsy way of saying you know something that can't be known. sounds like delusion to me!!!!

if i said that my cat was god, you would call me crazy, but you can't prove that he is not god anymore than you can prove that your god even exists. at least we have evidence my cat exists.

Ok, I asked a question about music and asked them to give their opinions and as soon as I mentioned that I'm from Iran they gave me this answer:
"Watch out for the American soldiers. We are steroytypes. YOu might be a good person but we don't ask then shoot. Good Luck with your question"
I love them and this is how their answer is.
Now could you please tell me what I'm supposed to think of them with such great answers?

My best friend has a problem and I really want to help her. She wants to wait until marriage but she feels like she's about to explode. I've done what I can to help but it doesn't seem to work. She doesn't want me to come over her house right now because she doesn't want anything to happen and I understand that. BTW she's a virgin and she can't take it anymore. Can someone please give me some advice so I can help her?
