Glad I could help.

By Christian standards? Probably not. It's all about protecting the "child". But, let me offer you this scenario, and you think about it. This is not a common occurrence, but it does happen. Let's say that a 12 yr. old girl is raped by a family member and becomes pregnant. Does she get an abortion, or is she forced to carry this pregnancy to full term? I mean, after all, we ARE all about the right of the child. But, which "child" do we protect? Isn't the twelve yr old more of a child than the fetus? She is here and now, and has suffered so much anyway. Do we as a society force her to give birth to a relative's baby? Knowing good and well that there could not only be birth defects, but major trauma to the girl in question. I understand that this is probably the most rare reason for a girl to have an abortion, but it DOES happen. Now, to me this is one situation, that requires almost no thought about morality. Pro-lifers claim they are all about saving lives, but what about pregnancies that will kill the potential mom? This is rare as well, but also happens. If it's all about saving lives, who's protecting the woman? Does she not deserve protection as well? Just some thoughts to ponder. I do understand that most abortions are done as birth control, but what about the ones that aren't done for that purpose?

Abortion is morally acceptable if it is done to save the life of the mother.

To me, no. I'm strongly against abortion. A lot of people don't understand my thinking, but I don't expect them to. I feel that even in cases of rape, medical situations, etc. abortion is wrong. I would never have one if faced with either of those situations- I would much rather find a family to adopt my child rather than feel like I murdered someone.

I would say that if the mother would die without her having an abortion, such as a tubular pregnancy, then the abortion is acceptable. Surely God doesn't want either to die, and if one can be saved, then she should be saved.

Sure if a girl is impregnated by incest, molestation or rape. Or if the life of the mother would be endangered by the birth of the child.

Some say the mother should have freedom of choice. I say that choice ended with her choice to have unprotected sex. she shouldn't have the choice of murder, but of course the supreme court differs with me on that point. xx

It is a personal choice for a woman, not any body else's business or the government. Respect other peoples opinion!
