Psychics use a technique whereby they tell a person information that the person thinks can only be meant for them.. or that is too specific not to be genuine..
Example - You are a caring person..things have been difficult for you lately.. life is not all that you dreamed it would be.. you can be outgoing but at other times painfully shy etc
All of the above seems to relate to a specific person but in actual fact can apply to most people..so the best advice regarding psychics is to steer well clear and understand what it is you hope to gain from seeing them.. closure, comfort etc and work on this instead..
If they were genuine then para-psychologists would have proved this already.. plus why all the 'his name begins with A - he is tall etc etc' why not 'Jon Brown wants to speak to Maggie Smith..' etc
Think about it - they are fishing - people have a tendancy to highlight what the psychic gets right and ignore the numerous times he gets it way wrong - like for example saying, oh the number '3' is significant..is there a birthday on the 3rd..(if the person says no..later they might say - oh there are 3 children in the family or 3 bedrooms in the old family home etc and that MUST be what the 3 referred to..)
Plus people give off a lot of information without meaning to and this can be picked up by so called psychics and used to make the person think he/she is the real deal..
Hoping you find the answers you are looking for yourself and do not go to one of these fraudsters..
Best of luck anyway.

Psychic readings etc. by nature are going to produce positive results quite often--simply because they are verbally vague. "There is some protective force in your life... perhaps a brother, mother or friend..." "I see by your life line that you will have a long life, with difficulties towards the end."
Those are a couple I've had... and both instances they were true. There are mathematical tricks a really cunning psychic can use to fool people.
Here's one dealing with cards.
Take 21 cards out of a deck. Deal from left to right, creating 3 columns of 7. Have a friend write down and not show you what card he picked, but have him tell you which row it is in. Carefully pick the piles up in a way that won't change the cards' position. Whatever row they picked, place it in between the two other piles, then re-deal the cards in the same pattern, 7 cards, 3 rows. Have them pick the row their card is in again. Carefully, pick up those cards again, in the same order, with the pile they've chosen in the middle. Repeat this process one more time. This time, with the full pile of 21 cards in your hand, deal out 11 cards. The final card, should be the card they picked. I'm not 100% sure of the math behind it, but it's related to Baye's law, and statistical probability--the first two times are to verify where the card isn't in the deck.
The purpose of this is simply to show that someone who is very clever and wishes to fool you can do so with clever math. This is how most "psychics" work.

Try it and see. There really are people that can sense things beyond the physical but it's not reliable enough to base life decisions on. Most psychics are frauds. If this were not so psychics would solve ever murder, find every missing child, diagnose every illness, etc. Bottom line: psychics have an exceedingly poor track record.

Uncannily, yes.
We got married in Oz. At the wedding venue my wife to be went all weird on me.
She'd been told by a psychic in Barcelona that she'd get married near a field full of horses with salt water in the background which wasn't the sea,
Exactly the location of our ceremony in Baldivis WA, Next to the stable field with a salt pan/lake in the background.
There were lots of other details which I forget now, which were also true!
Spooky!!

YES! About 15 years ago I went to a psychic, she told me a lot of things about my past & the future, one item she mentioned was "I see an older man smiling, no LAUGHING and holding a clip on tie in his hand, it's your father and he also thinks it was funny"! Little did she know that 5 years earlier I burried my father, wearing a clip on tie (a joke he & I shared just before he died), my brothers and I said NOTHING to anyone about this, when she mentioned it, the hair on my neck stood straight up! Sorry, I don't know of any psychics in the UK.

I was told, by a gypsy in the Carpathians, that I would be stuck somewhere, always giving my opinion. She said the only way out was to destroy the master. But, it cost me a few thou and I am reluctant. What should I do?
