What is Philadelphia Church of God?

Question

My boss thinks we're pagans because we hold Sunday as the Sabbath and celebrate Christmas and Easter. We don't get paid for our holidays and are forced to take his w/o pay as well. Everyone must leave the building before dark on Fridays as well because of his religion.
Is PCG a cult?

He is right on a few points

SUNday worship, contrary to popular belief, is not from Christianity it comes from SUN worship. The Romans worshiped the Sun god and in order to bring in more pagans into the church some people said worship on both the Sabbath and SUNday. Then a few 100 years later they got rid of the Sabbath completely even though the Bible speaks against this in the book of Daniel 7:25.

Christmas also comes from a pagan holiday Jesus was not born during the winter because the shepards would not be out at this time of the year.

About not working or getting paid for the Sabbath. It is Biblical Exodus 20:8-11 says "Thous shalt not do any work, Thou nor thy son nor thy daughter NOR THY MANSERVANT NOR THY MAIDSERVANT." He is following God's will.


Why would he pay you for the Sabbath day when you did not come to work?

Chic-fil-a is closed on SUNday because the owner goes to church on SUNday. Should their employees get paid for Sunday even though they don't go to work?

From a non Biblical basis
It is his building and he has does have the right to open and close it when he wants


I don't know about PCG but keeping the Sabbath is Biblical
