I had a friend in Belgium who was emailing me in French, her language. She stopped a couple of months ago. I seriously want to learn French and need to have someone I can email, then chat, with. I am a beginner, but am using a French language program at home to help me. The best way to learn a language is by using it. Emailing and chatting, later, would help me learn French. Can anyone help me? Is anyone willing?

Do people refuse to engage in criticising their beliefs and others who support them because they are concerned about being labelled as insincere, or because they cannot see when they are being fallacious, perhaps beyond being understandably so? If they know there are major holes in what they believe, or in the arguments used to support them, isn't it being intellectually dishonest to support said arguments?

The reason I ask is because in the religion of Islam, its believed that Allah (Islam's God) sent Muhammad to be the eternal example of humanity, forever.

THIS MEANS, ANYTING THE PROPHET DID DURING HIS LIFETIME, IS FOREVER THE EXCELLENT EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW.

Everything we call filthy, such as, adults marrying and bedding children, owning slaves, or genocide was done by Muhammad.

ADULTS MARRYING CHILDREN = FILTHY
OWNING SLAVES = FILTHY
GENOCIDE (Muhammad's ethnic cleansing of jews which Islamic scripture proudly and clearly announces of the Prophet) = FILTHY

We can only assume that either Islam is false, or God prefers the filthiest possible Prophet.

Are my words harsh? You mean to say you would want someone to speak better about a pedophilie:

“the prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old” http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/sunnah/bukhari/062.sbt.html#007.062.064

What has happened to good oldfashioned manners, ettiqute, men taking their hats off while in restaurants? While out to dinner with my 11 yr old son last night, I saw 9 grown men with baseball caps on, what happened to the rule of taking them off at the dinner table, especially when at a restaurant? Oh yeah, my son is being taught right, HIS WAS OFF.

A child will believe in the boogie man, the tooth fairy, the Easter bunny, and Santa clause if his mother tells him they are really. Is it really that big of a surprise that a child will believe in god?

You know that it is natural instinct for children to believe what there parents (and other authority figures) tell them. It’s important to their survival

My mother, who was a devout Christian all of her life died from breast cancer. She didn't smoke or drink, only had one man her entire life, had people all over the world praying for her & died a long, painful death. Why? I've heard it was God's will....God called her home & the devil is in charge of the world right now. Can anyone do better than these?

I mean, look, I am all for open discussion and understanding of all faiths. I generally believe that all faiths have a common goal to make humanity better. Now why are there these knuckleheads, who constantly go around intentionally misquoting the Quran/Bible/Torah/Any Holy Book? What is wrong with people? They say that religion is the cause of all the world's problems when it seems that they themselves are. And for you athiests. I totally respect your beliefs, so for those few of you who aren't so open-minded, why can't you respect ours?

And do you not know that you are Eve? God’s sentence hangs still over all your sex and His punishment weighs down upon you. You are the devil’s gateway; you are she who first violated the forbidden tree and broke the law of God. It was you who coaxed your way around him whom the devil had not the force to attack. With what ease you shattered that image of God: man! Because of the death you marited the Son of God had to die. And yet you think of nothing but covering your tunics with ornaments.

Should we pay attention to passages like this? Why or why not?
