Do you think that when God put a Cherub with a flaming sword in the Garden of Eden to protect the Tree of Life from Adam and Eve that he created the very first lock?

You think the world is so complex it needs a designer but a designer is always more complex than his/her design. He/she has to be. So god is more complex than the world which you say is so complex it needs a designer. So if this world is so complex it needs a designer an even more complex designer would need a still more complex designer and we have an infinite regression. Say no to jesus

Can a christian be rational, observant, have discernment? Can they actually have a brain that can think, weigh out different perceptions? Can a christian be true to their belief, but able to be tolerant and debate a notion or philosophy? Can a christian have a belief that will not automatically be called 'fantasy' by those who claim to be blessed with knowledge and the wisdom to use it?

Can I be a man, who has defects, who can't answer your questions, who has doubts, who relies on faith, who is educated, who can discern and weigh philosophy and rebuttal?

Can I exist? I think therefore I am....

I have a college professor who is so against men holding the door open for women. I really do not get what is wrong with it. She says they [men] are implying that you cannot do it for yourself. My thinking is well how do know what he is thinking? I can't read minds! Maybe he just does it for everyone. Maybe he has a crush on me and wants to make a good impression. My point is I do not know. Is it not hypocritical for said Professor to criticize a man for ASSUMING a woman cannot open a door, and then not criticize herself for ASSUMING that everyman opens doors for women because they are sexist? Why then, was SHE offended when a guy held the door open for me (I was carrying a bunch of books by the way) when I entered her class, and I said thank you? I just don’t get it!

Many people think that everything in the bible is literally true, but most of the Christians I have asked say that the whore of Babylon is a metaphor for false religion. This shows that some things in the Bible are to be taken figuratively, so wouldn't the bible be completely open to interpretation?

Thank you for your thoughts...

I mean his career was kind of done. He said something stupid.

Should he be on every talk show apologizing or just continue to ignore him? I'd vote the latter but hey, I'm white.

Lots of racist boneheads out there of all colours and mabye some others just say things they don't totally mean. But when someone does, do we need this to be the "NUMBER ONE STORY IN AMERICA".

Forgive me if I just dont think your country's has been stars should be so important.

Other religions? If your God is the one true God then how can other religions claim to have miracles? And why does your God..either Allah or the God of Abraham allow miracles to occur for people of other faiths? Wouldn't that just encourage them to keep believing what they believe even though it might mean burning in hell for eternity?
