Marriage questions like this are best suited to be answered by a canonal church expert see the local Catholic diocese head office for direction. Dawn is correct in the sense that your fiance did not have a valid sacramental marriage his first time around however that is not to say the church does not acknowledge it as a valid civil marriage. In any case asking on here will not give you the answers you really require. go see the diocese office.
Also why marry in the Lutheran church are you Lutheran? If so your husband will once again not be viewed as having a valid sacramental union with you.

The only one who can truly answer this question is the Catholic Priest at the church your fiance currently belongs to. In my humble opinion, it sounds like your finance is more of a lost sole and that you should invite him to join your Lutheran church. Once he learns the differences between Catholic and Lutheran he will better understand why he hasn't been following the rituals the Catholics have added to the Bible.

The Vatican will not officially recognize a marriage unless it is performed by a Catholic priest and between two Catholics, but many individual Catholic churches will sort of 'look the other way'. I suppose that there might be some Lutheran churches which do this, as well, but I'm not familiar with their 'house rules'.

The Catholic Church will not consider either marriage valid. They only count it is if it is a Catholic wedding. To marry in the Catholic Church, it would be necessary for him to confess to fornication.
