Unmatched Fulfillment of Prophecies

The Bible stands alone among literature. Prophecies written hundreds of years before an event have been fulfilled with 100% accuracy. There are approximately 2500 prophecies in the Bible, 2000 of which already have been completely fulfilled -- the remaining 500 speak of future events.

The chance of any one man fulfilling just eight prophecies has been calculated by Peter W. Stoner in Science Speaks at 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 -- yet 60 major Old Testament prophecies, having 270 ramifications were fulfilled by the life of Jesus. An example of the precisely fulfilled prophecies include the place of His birth, Bethlehem (prophesied in Micah 5:2, fulfilled in Luke 2:4-7); that He would be born of a virgin (prophesied in Isaiah 4:17, fulfilled in Luke 1:26-31); that He would be despised and rejected by Jews (prophesied in Isaiah 53:3, fulfilled in John 1:1, Luke 23:18); that He would be betrayed by a friend (Judas) for thirty pieces of silver cast on the floor of the Temple and used to buy a potter's field (prophesied in Zechariah 11:11-13, fulfilled in Matthew 27:3-10).

Fulfilled prophecy extends to the present day -- consider the people of Israel. In Genesis 12:2,3 and 13:13-15, God promised Abraham a great nation, a great name and a land that will belong to his descendants forever and through Abraham, that all families of the earth will be blessed. At the time, Abraham was 75 years old and his wife was barren. The prophecy was fulfilled when Abraham was 90 years old (Genesis 21:2) when his wife Sarah miraculously bore him a son. Over the next several hundred years, the nation promised to Abraham appeared (Exodus 1:7).

built the Kabba, where now all muslims pray towards? what does this mean? A man of God would not just send his infant child and his mother to a barren desert, unless God decreed it.

What do you get from this Ayah(verse)?

Please read, consider and answer my questions. My point is not to offend you but rather to understand the logic behind your beliefs.

Christians tell me that everyone is a sinner.

Question:

If you are a christian, why would you CHOOSE to sin if you know it offends your god and you are running the risk of an eternity in hell? (or are you allowed to sin all you want once you become a christian?)

Would you still choose to sin if a crazy man followed you everywhere with a boiling pot of oil and promised to dump it on you if you commit any sins?

Isn't true that deep down inside, a part of you doubts the existence of a god which is why you choose to sin.......because you aren't really afraid?

...considering they had formerly been men's property. Name what and how He changed things positively in context of scriptures. Women's lib often accuses religious women of not being liberated and are fighting to usurp authority over a man to get there. How can we show folks the liberty we have in Christ's teachings in the right way is truly fulfilling?

Islam is to be imposed by force.

Mohammed said, "I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and whoever says, " None has the right to be worshipped but Allah , his life and property will be saved by me." (otherwise it will not). Vol. 4:196

Apostasy is punishable by death.

Mohammed said, "Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him." Vol. 9:57

A Muslim must not be killed if he kills a non-Muslim.

Mohammed said, " No Muslim should be killed for killing a Kafir" (infidel). Vol. 9:50

Ethnic cleansing is practiced.

Mohammed said to the Jews, "You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle (Mohammed) and I want to expel you from this land (The Arabian Peninsula), so, if anyone owns property, he is permitted to sell it." Vol. 4:392

Mohammed's last words at his deathbed were: "Turn the pagans (non-Muslims) out of the Arabian Peninsula." Vol. 5:716

I'm 23 year-old boy and am from Minnesota

When I used to be in school some of my friends (boys) wore overalls and I think they would be cool to wear...

I want to get a pair of Pointer Brand overalls for Christmas, but I'm afraid that my parents will think it's strange that I'm starting to wear overalls...

I wouldn't likely feel embarrased to wear them around others and would like to wear them "bib up"...

Does anyone have any ideas that would make me more comfortable about this?

Us christians say we love God. I'm just wondering how come we don't love him like we love are wife/husband you know always geting butterflies and feel tingly inside. Always like to be around that person. I mean how can we feel that way about God? How do we describe our love to God? It just doesn't feel the same as we feel about people opposite sex. This is a stupid question, but what do you think?

i have a good friend who i have known for almost my whole life. when i was 12 he gave me my first kiss. since then we have just been great friends but have always loved each other, but maintained our obligations to our religion.

about a month or two ago he approached me with the idea of getting married. he didnt propose... he just asked me if how i felt about this idea. i told him i definitely wasnt opposed but since i am only 18 and he is only 20 we should think about it a little bit more first.

two weeks from that i found out he slept with a someone on one of his business trips. he recently smoked weed. and also, he says that he has come close to having sexual relations with another man.

he claims that he was in a state of depression (both of his parents passed away recently) and that is the only reason these things happened. he is very sorry and wants to make a life together and do right by me.

does anyone think there is anything left to salvage here?

its time for the islamic reformation to begin . islam has to come out of its tribal roots and join the modern world like other religions have done . no modern person is prepared to accept tribal religious systems such as islam any longer.

am i right?

For those of you who don't know Appolonius was a contemporary of Jesus who claimed many of the same abilities and had an eerily similar birth story and history.
