No...the WORLD does not hate the USA. There are some individuals and groups who do, but the same can be said for any country. The US gets more attention because it often handles things others won't, some of which maybe it shouldn't. The US is also a world power, possibly THE world power, which does tend to cause resentment for the overshadowing of others, and perhaps the boastfulness of its people furthers the effect. There is jealousy, there is founded spite. In either case, it's normal for any major country, state, corporation, business, or individual.

According to the news many countries are disgruntled with, or just plain hate the U.S. I believe it's justified because we're always going around telling other countries how to live. We're so bossy. We're always saying some person or another is a dictator and must be stopped. The U.S. is always pointing fingers at "terrorists". We have a fit if anyone new tries to enrich uranium for means of energy.
We're hardly the neighbor with the ferrari. We have a lot of crime, ignorance, and pollution. For all the fingers we're pointing at the "bad guys " our politicians do a lot of business with them. Like the Kennedys' bringing in champagne during Prohibition, the CIA helping out drug cartels in Columbia, to the current selling of arms to countries that are currently fighting us. (think middle east)
We have low education standards, we really don't help our own poor (we apparantly would rather help someone other poor country), and most of us are afraid of our own "shoot-first-ask-questions-later" police force.
If you'll remember, we're the only ones that have used "The Bomb" to combat our enemies. They say that history is written by the victorious, I wonder how we turned out to be the good guys.
I've read the Constitution when I was in the 4th grade. I love what this country for what it was, and I'm hopeful of our potential. But my country has let me down. We murder our own dissidents and no one takes up their lost cause. We've ignored our Constitution, and our Bill of Rights. No longer do we as Americans have the right to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness".
And as such, we in our bitterness, have apparantly insisted that others must be in the same sad boat.

i do perceive a growing 'anti' USA feeling outside of the USA
not me tho - i am from the UK and have visited America a couple of times and have always been treated well when in the USA.
i think the feeling is about the 'policing' approach that the USA takes upon itself rather than encouraging different countries to help out if something needs it.
that does put the USA in a double bind - on the one hand they become the first point of call should anything big happen globally as well as costing the USA million$$$ and on the other folks aren't grateful just resentful about all things American due to the interventions that tend to be American led rather than globally or locally led.
another thing i have noted (and forgive me if this doesn't apply to you) is that Americans are rather resistant to non Americans offering advice on any issue that they deem 'internal' whilst being all too willing to dish it out to everyone else
all that isn't jealousy - just wanting a level playing field

You have hit the nail on the head. It's just plain jealousy and envy. There is no other country in the world that gives to the less fortunate and oppressed than the USA. We also hold the biggest stick, but, unlike other world powers in history that is able to dominate, prefers to use our might for good.

the usual reason why nations and mass people hate the U.S. is because they are hypocrites and bullies. america always has to bomb, occupy, dictate, scare and rule another country. the bully of the universe and no one asked for america to be such jerks with weapons. also when i was in the U.S. everyone i met had this attitude that america is the best and only best country on earth with that "god bless america". america isn't free, the masses are slaves to the corporations.

And it's not just other countries hating America... some Americans are also getting fed up with this ridiculous nation, including myself.
