Why do some people believe a day in the bible is something other than 24 hours and a week is billions of years? What compelling evidence do you have for this explanation? I just want to know so don't get offended

If our bodies are a temple of God and we should look after them.?

Why are there so many overweight Priests, Pastors, Preachers, Bishops etc even the Pope I mean no offense but isn't it a little hypocritical to say we can't do this this and this, but this is ok. Isn't being overweight destroying/damaging that temple like drugs and alcoholism and sexual abuse?
I am christian, serious answers only please and i mean no offense.

If someone claims to you now that God talked to him and wrote a book about his conversation with God..?

would you believe him? Hard to believe isnt it? So did it came to your mind that maybe(maybe!) Moses just made up all the stories about God? People believed him after some miracle show, followed him, added some more stories and as time passed..these stories have widely spreaded, had different variations, and soon became what we called now faiths & religions?

Do you think she really can talk to the other side, and even God through her spirit guide Francine?...I don't know. I come from a Christian background and I read one of the books and it kind of made sense in that it wasn't necessarily a new option of belief for me but maybe an expansion of my beliefs. Every other Christian person I know though totally shoots this notion down and challenges her. ehh...It's not really important but it's on my mind...

Why do Latinos who are not mexican have this superiority complex and think they are better than Mexicans?

I'm not saying that all other latinos think like this, but when I talk to latinos who aren't mexican they have this sort of "i'm better than you cuz I'm not mexican" attitude! and this happens all the time? why do you think that is?

I have been asking Jesus to come into my life.?

I am a kind of person who loves salvation and God, I think God is shapeless, but can be felt from people. All the people you've known are part of Jesus, they act somehow in Jesus's way individually. So is it right to keep asking God to come into my life and save living souls in the world? Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered, and my answered prayers are too big to have, for example I prayed for financial problems of my family then he answered as money are gained more than I thought.
Well guys, I want to know how you live your life with the love from God? What do you guys think in your heart that is known only by yourself? For me it is "keep loving" as my faith.

A question about religion?

I read last taime on another Answers post that talks about something like this: Killing is necessary if the world or society is too wicked, like Noah's story.

So, if God wipes off the wicked will they go to Hell or to Heaven? So does God wipe off these people before they are too evil to go to Heaven? Or is it just because they are not worthy to live anymore? Unless it is the direct case of Ananias and his wife lied to Peter and God and died on the spot.(What book is this story in?)

I feel awful...??

I feel awful. I'm only 11, 12 on December 5th, and I feel like i have become faithless in the past 2 years. I am mad at my Grandma, because she is not Christian, and she keeps trying to prove darwin's theroy. I try SO hard to have faith, and I am a bit mad I ever tried to be smarter than average. Now, because I think about more things, I ask questions, and, I don't know. I just wish I could be faithful. Plz, tell me how to become more faithful. And DONT I repeat DO NOT post things trying to convince me of the opposite. I want advice on how to be more faithful, NOT faithless. My Dad said it was just doubts, and lots of ppl get them, but it's getting worse and worse. I pray EVERY night I can. Before I close my eyes at night, I picture an image of God and Jesus. If anything ever happened, i just want to be able to say I was thinking of something religious. Plz help. Remember, I'm only 11. Thanks :D
