I'm not saying that all other latinos think like this, but when I talk to latinos who aren't mexican they have this sort of "i'm better than you cuz I'm not mexican" attitude! and this happens all the time? why do you think that is?

well im mexican and yes its true. i dont know why. i have a small theory though. I think its because for example here in Los Angeles, most of the latino people are mexican, why? Because Mexico is the closest to USA. Also Mexico is a larger country than say, El Salvador or Guatemala or Puerto Rico. So i think they feel like they need to stick together and not like us just because there are more of us, and also it might bother them that because they might live in a city that the latinos are mostly mexican, that people automatically assume that they are mexican. So they start hating. Thats just what i think, i could be wrong. But i do know that other latinos, or the majority dont like mexicans. I have a friend that lives here and used to live in New York and hes says that over there they dont like mexicans at all! Now thats just mean, lol.

Sometimes it's the other way around. Some Mexicans think they are better than Latinos. I think some people are insecure about themselves and it doesn't matter what nationality they are. These insecure people might like to be first in everything. They like to put other people down or they are jealous of other people. There is good and bad in everyone and it doesn't matter what nationality you are. I'm Hispanic, and I try to get along with all nationalities, and I don't consider myself superior to any of them.

I have never heard of that, but I do know Mexicans who don't accept the Latinos because they are mixed. Like most mexicans aren't! LOL I think they forgot that spain conquered them and did what they did. Where do they suppose they got the spanish language from?

ok, now not all of those were unlawful immigrants, although some may well be young ones of unlawful immigrants. i spotted previous articles in this and the element was that those as quickly as black neighborhoods were being taken over via Hispanics, and the gangs have been given right here in on an identical time as. The gangs did not like blacks being there, and no, Mendi8a, the blacks killed weren't in gangs. One, case in point, was in simple terms strolling with a Latino woman. this is approximately racism, and can have a link to unlawful immigration (maximum probable the Mexican Mafia has), whether that is not approximately immigration, in accordance to se.

I have no idea. I'm Spanish and I don't know if that is concidered latino or latina or wutever. I really don't know where anyone gets off thinking they are better than Mexicans. O well. I dont think that.

Just the way things are, and what is so funny... the Mexican's that I know of bust their booty doing their work... I work along with several builders and they all have commented that they get more work for their money hiring a Mexican... which the stereotype is the same here... everything thinks they are better than them... Sad.

I have never encountered this, and I have neighbors from Mexico and Puerto Rico. I also know someone from El Salvador, who is now a US citizen. Some people just think that they are better than others. Its a false sense of superiority to make themselves feel better about themselves. This isn't exclusive to Hispanics.

Couldn't that be just part of their culture? Argentines for example are simply a more uppity type of crowd than your average, fuzzy Mexican. They don't think they're better, they are just brought up to act in a way that may seem arrogant to a Mexican. In Scandinavia, people often accuse the Swedes of being arrogant, but it's just their composure. They move less when they speak, so they seem more sure of themselves than others. Could it be as simple as that?

Haven't really seen that... I think latinos all around get along pretty good. There are different attitudes and differences depending from which country you come from, but if there weren't these differences this world would be kinda boring ¡Viva la hispanidad!

It's like in Africa, everybody thinks he's better thant the other ones...I think it's ignorance and a complex...they need to think they are better to love and carry on their cultures.
I think everybody has something good to offer to this world, cultures are so many bright colors of the rainbow...just love yourself and others...even if they don't love you...that's their issue not ours!
