It hurts because you are a human and you loved this person. I just lost my mom to lung Cancer 9 months ago. She was the most wonderful person I have ever know. I do know that she is in heaven with Christ and that she is safe and happy. I rejoice that the pain and suffering she endured while sick is over. I miss the little things about her, the way her eyes sparkled when she smiled, her laugh, the absolute attention she gave me when we were talking and the wonderful advise she gave. She was my best friend and I miss her deeply. So, while you miss this person, you understand that she is whole and happy now. The nice thing is to remember that you will see her again some day. Let that comfort you and I will pray for you.

It depends on what you believe and it depends on what the person who passed away believes. If you believe in God and they don't it would be very hard to be happy for the person that has passed on. You would never know of their true destination after death. If your loved one believed in God and you don't it would be very hard for you to be happy for them because you would have to look at your own beliefs.
I have had two family members pass away in the last 2 years. My grandfather died of natural causes. My uncle died because he took his own life. The loss of my uncle to suicide still hurts. I wasn't sure if he would end up in heaven. This thought scared me. I would never wish an eternity of hell on anybody. In the end I had to hope that his faith in God held the course. The thing is we will never really know who made it and who didn't until the end. I would say to hope for the best for your loved one. If your loved one was suffering death can be a release from pain. I had a friend pass away 2 years ago from cancer. When they went they no longer suffered. Sometimes a death can be merciful.
We all hurt when we lose somebody. Try to remember the good things about their live and how they impacted you. Cherish their memory.
It will be hard for you to be happy for them because you have a void in your life. I believe that every time I pray to Jesus and I am thinking about a loved my loved ones know that I am thinking about them. You could also be upset because they have gone on to something better and you are stuck here on earth. They have no more sadness, but we have sadness still.
It is good to be sad. It means that you loved them. I pray that the Lord will bring you through. May Jesus give you grace in the time of your grief. Being upset is normal. Don't condemn yourself for it. Jesus wanted to be alone when He found out that His cousin John the Baptist was beheaded. Jesus cried. If Jesus can cry so can you.
God Bless.

Is hard because you loved and cared for this person. But look at the bright side they are in a better and more peaceful place. Just remember, "Don't be sad because they left, Be happy because they were here and were part of your life".

It will take you sometime to get over this sorrow that you are facing right now. Losing someone to illness, is something that you have no control over it. Yes she is at a better place, no more pain for her. Its something that you can't see nor feel for her ever again. Only in dreams that she might appear.
You are happy for her. You are just in somewhat denial right now.
Just remember she will always be around you, in memories, and in your heart!

Why do you want to be happy for someone who died? I'm cofused. You love her and miss her. You might even feel betrayed or angry.

Because they have broken your routine and humans have this uncanny sense for this thing called "self presevation" which isn't only physical preservation but mental also. Hence someone you are used to passes you greive for yourself, not them.
