i saw a youtube thing were people from the uk had to try and act like an american and they either talked like rednecks or new york mobsters!!! what the hell is that all u think of us??

My dad always gets me outrageous gifts at christmas, gifts that I never end up using. I end up feeling bad that he spent $ on stuff I don't need, or want, or will ever use.
There are practical stuff that I really need and want, (not pricy either).

would it be OK to TELL him what I'd like for christmas (and at least use it/enjoy it), or just let him buy me whatever he usually does and tossing it or keeping it but not ever using it?

Can good or evil really exist without the existance of God?
If so, who would define them?

PLEASE REMEMBER........IN THIS QUESTION GOD IS GENERIC

God can be defined as any form of supreme being or set of supreme characters that influence thought through imagination and belief.

Has there ever been a society that developed these concepts without the influence of religion in some shape form or fashion? Please, note them.

My basic question is wouldn't good or evil always be based upon what a person or group of people believe, and therefore always be a religious set of values? Isn't that the definition of religion, the system of belief behind the concepts of good and evil, right or wrong?

i just moved here to the usa. what is it with black people? ever been in front of one going into a store? what do most people do? hold the door for the guy walking behind them. and most of the time the guy you are holding the door for usually says, "thank you". a black will take his time walking through the door as if YOU WERE EXPECTED to hold the door for them. ever driven through a parking lot and a black crosses your path on foot and you stop to let them through? what do most people do? hold up and hand as if to gesture, "thank you" and hurry out of your way. a blck will just take their time walking. ever driven down a street with a black in the street? most people get the hell out of the way of the car coming, not a black. they EXPECT you to drive around them. i dont know about you, but from where i come from there are people who would put a good ole fashion azz whooping on these people for just being rude

Will you have a fake tree or a real?

I have just finished putting the one up for work it is a fake one and my arms are really itchy now.

Haven't even thought about putting it up at home, but although i love a real christmas tree and that smell is devine, think we will be settling for a fake one this year.

Why do many Christians throw phrases like this around like its nothing? If they truly believe in hell,then why does this phrase give them pleasure instead of sadness?To me it is a very disturbing concept.

My sister is really scared and frightened. She's only 11 and her name is Haley. I feel terrible for her, poor thing.
