There's all sorts of bickering on here. Personally, I find it incredibly amusing. But, has anyone ever swapped sides because of a really touching answer or something?

Yeah, it's a regular WWE Smackdown here, isn't it? The Religious Enthusiasts vs. The Atheists. With no clear winner on who takes the title called the Ultimate Belief World Championship Title belt. LOL! But to answer your question, no. I will never be swayed to go back to any organized belief, no matter what anyone says here on Yahoo Answers or anyone, anywhere else. (I'm an atheist). That is a life promise.

This has been asked before. Basically, no one leaves there religion over night. The more ritual and saturation a religion brainwashes someone with, the longer it takes. So, on spot confessions are rare indeed.

I have some good ex-muslim friends today after talking with them for several years online.

I don't know that I've actually changed my religion, as a label, but I've changed my views on religion. I came in a Christian Fundamentalist and am now more Christian Spiritualist. I no longer look down my nose at people whose beliefs differ from mine, but rather look up to them.
