You know, I think I actually read that book last year while living in southern Utah while researching to write a western melodrama. Unfortunately, I can't remember what he said exactly. I do know that other authors have come from a limited informational slant and have portrayed the Mormons based on what the authors think, and not what live, practicing Mormons have actually told them. I have actually run into some pretty well-known authors who have done that, in fact. It's always best to talk to Mormons who are active and have studied Church history and regular history - maybe even an Institute teacher or two - who have made it their life work to study the scriptures and history. Have a happy day.
