There are difficult times in everyone’s life and I don’t think it’s unnatural for people to try to seek meaning in that. To ask “Why is this happening”. The problem is, you’re taking it personally and you shouldn’t. What ever is going on, it will pass. No God isn’t testing you, nor is he trying to shape you into a better person, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t take what you have and become a better person based on what life has taught you.
When you think that god is specifically targeting you for some higher purpose, that is the very definition of grandiose thinking and I don’t believe it is healthy.

You have to remember that God puts people through trials and tribulations. So yes I believe He molds everyone for the potential person that they will become in the future.

Could be. Take heart in God's word.
1 Peter 1:6-7
"In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."
James 1:2-5
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish it's work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."
Believe it or not it sounds like you are in a good place. I know things can get really hard (and even impossible for us), but it is through the hard times that we grow in God. It really is something to rejoice about, because the end result will be awesome. God always knows exactily what He is doing and/or allowing, even though we often don't. But like the last verse says, you can ask God for wisdom and He will give it to you. But you have to believe when you do
note James 1:6-7 goes on to say:
"But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not thinnk he will recieve anything from the Lord."
So there is a warning there, but trust me when you do believe and don't doubt, it is awesome what God does!!!
Don't worry. God will get you through everything. In the meantime I'll thank God and say a prayer for you in the same way Paul did.
Phillippians 1:3-6
"I thank God every time I remember you. In all y prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Many blessings!

life is hard for all people and we all will experience pain and trouble in life, it is part of what is sometimes called `the pilgrimage of life`
it calls for real discernment to know when it is the action of God to test us and when it is simply the battle scars of life.
we must be careful that we do not see God as a harsh Father with a big stick in hand every time something goes wrong.

It very well could be. I'm going through the same things... but I just cling to God's promise that one day there will be an end to my suffering. And just remember, whatever happens to you, with God's help, you can get through it. It will make you stronger...

Yes! Plus don't forget the 'good' times are usually taken for granted and the 'hard' times is usually where we really start thinking and improve as a person. Of course that is if you don't start revolting against God.

Yes it can be. I've found that the saying "what doesn't kill me makes me stronger" is very true (although not from the Bible). But I believe we go through things for a reason.
(((((HUG)))) to you, things will be better!
