Send the ACLU a Christmas Card! It is time to get out your CHRISTMAS cards list! As the ACLU are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this holiday, we should all send them a nice CHRISTIAN card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world. Make sure it says "Merry CHRISTMAS" on the inside only. Here's the address; just don't be rude or crude. (It's not the Christian way, you know!) ACLU 125 Broad Street 18th Floor New York, NY 10004 Two tons of CHRISTMAS cards would freeze their operations because they wouldn't know if any were regular mail containing contributions. So spend 39 cents and tell the ACLU to leave CHRISTMAS alone. Also tell them that there is no such thing as a "Holiday Tree". . . . It's a CHRISTMAS Tree! Pass this on to your e-mail buddies.
Merry Christmas Everyone!

this holiday is representative of a celebration of a genocide of people? This is the one day out of the year that I decide to fast for the day. Is everyone too concerned about getting "their eat on" than to really look at the true meaning of the "holiday"?

Would you pay someone to wrap all your holiday gifts for you? How much would you pay them (or how much would it be fair to charge)?

Assuming it is very probably true that man invented the concept of God, would reinvention and redefinition of the God concept be benificial to the world today and for the future?

What abilities & limitations would "the new God" have? Your views...?

Please keep your views on this question focused toward its positive spirit, according to the constructive nature under which it has been written. We all have plenty of other opportunities to answer questions in negative ways... So once again, please, just ignore this question if you can't think "outside the box" of what has already been said a thousand times.

I know how you all believe that we get our morals from the Bible. Im trying to figure out what moralistic parable is being hidden inside the story of Lot...
Lot was allegedly the holiest man in Sodom. So God sent two angels to warn him of the impending doom. But some hormy men showed up at Lot's door and demanded that he turn over the angels. Rather than turn over angels to men so that they might be raped, Lot instead turns over his daughters to the mob, allowing them to be raped. What lesson are we to learn from this?
Later, after fleeing Sodom, Lot's wife gets turned to a pillar of salt - for looking over her shoulder at the fireworks. So, Lot is left my himself to raise his daughters. So they camp in a cave, where he daughters proceed to take turns getting daddy drunk, then impregnating themselves - and we all know how a drunk guy cant get it up, so maybe Lot was just faking being drunk, because he actually impregnanted both of his own daughters...

My 2 yr. old whispers about his imaginary friend (with the same name as my deceased nephew). All of this started the same week my ex-husband and father of my other two children was brutally murdered. He says things he should not know. I'm a little spooked.

the world, which will be destroyed by fire and fervent heat (2 Peter 3:12). You may ask what does Noah's flood have to do with the end of the world? Well, it is very interesting that God begins this chapter speaking about the scoffers of Noah's day and then transitions into the day of the Lord (last day or end of the world). The transition statement is, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." In Genesis 7:4, we read that God gave Noah seven days to get his family and all the animals into the ark before the worldwide flood.

Thinking of starting a new aetheists following (can't say religion 'cos it's not)... and the following are the ten commandments... your opinion of them and additional/replacement ones please..
1. Thou shalt have no god
2. Thou shalt forgive the god botherers as they think they know better... We'll see who has the last word :)
3. Thou shalt not bait the god botherers as it's an unfair competition
4. Thou shalt require physical scientific evidence of any god and not a list of quotes from a religious book
5. Thos shalt not sh4g your neigbours missus/hubby unless they approve
6. Thou shalt not nick thy neighbours stuff... cos he may be bigger than you and an expert martial artist!
7. Thou shalt not kill... unless it's in self defence when the neighbour is practicing his martial arts on you
8. Thou shalt not take anyones name in vein... unless it is bloody funny
9. Thou shalt not refuse the offer of a swift pint
10. Thou shalt not work on any public holidays

Since the viewing is this evening only and burial tomorrow, I will be unable to attend. However, I would like to do something that is appropiate to show that I am very sorry for the loss. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
