Sit him down and tell him that you want to remain his friend but he can’t be drilling you in this manner, that he is smothering you and he has no right to question you on anything you do. If he were your boyfriend instead of a friend I would say to leave him and maybe he thinks of you more as a girlfriend than just a friend. As people get older and start to mature more friendships sometimes change along with likes and dislikes. Maybe that is happening to you and your friend. Be careful as sometimes controlling people turn into attackers and stalkers.←

It sounds like you have to have a frank discussion with him about boundaries. He sounds like he is being controlling of your time. No friend, boyfriend or not, has the right to ask you to account for your time in that way. I think that it is good that you are not seeing him romantically because that kind of controlling behavior would probably intensify if you were his girlfriend. Good luck on everything! You might have gotten more answers to this if you had posted on the family and relationships section.
