As time goes by we realize that the only forces that have created alot of animosity are based on religous differences, which makes me wonder why do we put so much faith on religiuos learders who only tell us what they think we should folow?

I have a close relative that recently got married n we are both Roman Catholics n somewhat serious about it. I brought up a sex topic up and asked,
"I know that ur inlove w/ ur husband, but u guys arn't planning to have any kids soon...so does that mean u guys arn't going to have sex for a couple of more years until you decide to have a baby?"
She replies, "No. Just because we decide to have sex without the use of birth control doesn't mean I'm going to get pregnant. Since using birth control for sex is a sin, I can go to a doctor n he can tell me what days I can have sex that will not get me pregnant without the use of condoms or the pill."
So basically, there are certain times of the month for every woman that can have unprotected sex n not get pregnant from it.
I am a little startled by this n thought that as a Catholic, you can only have sex with your spouse if you decide to have children. So is this okay for us to have unprotected marital sex,knowing it will not lead to pregnancy

It's as dangerous as cocaine, heroine, anphetamines, etc..etc......
Legislators are a bunch of hypocritical people.
Maybe the alcohol industry is too powerful, and buy politicians under the table. What do you think?

I am a happily married, completly passable, post-operative transsexual. I recently have had gay/lesbian friends ask me to go to a LGB themed event, that is being taped/televised. I live in stealth, and don't want to risk having my husband, whos a well respected and prominent figure in my community, outed as having a transsexual wife. How can I relate this to my colleagues without hurting their feelings or offending them?
