I have a close relative that recently got married n we are both Roman Catholics n somewhat serious about it. I brought up a sex topic up and asked,
"I know that ur inlove w/ ur husband, but u guys arn't planning to have any kids soon...so does that mean u guys arn't going to have sex for a couple of more years until you decide to have a baby?"
She replies, "No. Just because we decide to have sex without the use of birth control doesn't mean I'm going to get pregnant. Since using birth control for sex is a sin, I can go to a doctor n he can tell me what days I can have sex that will not get me pregnant without the use of condoms or the pill."
So basically, there are certain times of the month for every woman that can have unprotected sex n not get pregnant from it.
I am a little startled by this n thought that as a Catholic, you can only have sex with your spouse if you decide to have children. So is this okay for us to have unprotected marital sex, knowing it will not lead to pregnancy
