John 1:19-22 This was the testimony of John when the Jewish leaders sent priests and Temple assistants from Jerusalem to ask John whether he claimed to be the Messiah. He flatly denied it. "I am not the Messiah " he said. "Well then who are you?", they asked. "Are you Elijah?" "No," he replied. "Are you that Prophet?" "No."

The Jews, in this passage, were waiting for 3 prophecies. Elijah, Messiah and That Prophet! Clearly this indicates that their must come another prophet, who is not the messiah, who is/was he?

while muslims keep bragging that their koran is pure and authentic, i find it to be filled with stories that have been plagarized from religions and beliefs that predates islam such as hinduism, zorastrianism, judaism , arab and greek myths.

how can muslims say that the koran is authentic? any donkey who reads the koran will understand that it has been plagarized.?

When Jesus said that he was!Well Jesus never said so directly, i think.I can only remember that Jesus said that "Elijah has already come..".His apostles then assumed it to be Elijah. (correct me if I'm wrong).

But If Jesus directly said that John is "Elijah" then why did John deny it?

Unearthing - Free Will, Destiny & Fate -

With energy I have always felt we control it to a certain extent.
A theory I started working on myself was fate, destiny and where this leads us.

As a younger woman I found myself in a situation where no matter how I tried to change it ..
I kept finding myself on the same path. I didnt know where this path would end only a feeling that this was bad.
And I needed to change it or else. (yes death).
Many years after this accident, I went though a lot of thoughts, experiences and different energies.
I started wondering about our free will and how we sometimes find ourselves in a spiral path or just a path that we cant change, to the end fate.

So to explain this a little better..
I feel we all have free will. We have the choice to choose anything and everything.
So we get to choose something. lets say a new puppy.. (for example).

We put the energy into motion.. Thoughts, feelings, excitement,

What kind of music do you listen to? I mean I know there are some rock groups that we are not suppose to listen to due to the corrupt lyrics, so I stay away from them, but I still listen to all my favorite non-corrupt songs from the 1970's and early 1980's from the generation that I grew up in. I also like alot of the old country songs. Is this wrong?

-would you believe him/her? What if someone you trust told you that he/she saw someone raised from the dead? Would you believe? How far removed from the event would you have to be to stop believing?
It is a historical fact that Jesus, the claimed Christ, was a real living, breathing person. The claims of his resurrected person was witnessed by hundreds of people. As were his miracles. Why should it be any more doubtful than Columbus discovering America, or even having lived, for that matter. That is why historical records even exist, in the first place.
WE CANNOT GO BACK AND SEE IT FIRST HAND

I do! Bless every one of them! Some Lutheran gave me some propaganda from a website explaining why the Jews were not the chosen people any more, after I said I love the Jews.

Lets all pray Blessing over all Isreal, whoever you are.

If you choose not to, thats your right too, no problem!!

i just voted on a question about salvation and right now the winning answer is i was saved the day i realized i wasn't a christian. have we really turned into people who do or believe anything as long as it makes us feel good about ourselves. i've done some bad stuff but i never tried to convince myself or others it was alright. if there is no constant right or wrong what are we doing? if there is no right or wrong no good or evil then where did all the rules come from. it's always easier to be bad than good take my word for it i just lost my family for it.

I know that sounds bad, but here's my situation: I'm a college student, therefor have like no money. I have some pretty good friends and a big family and a boyfriend! I didn't have a job last year, so I just gave everyone cards. How does that sound again? or maybe some homemade recipe cookies? I know I want to buy my mom, boyfriend, sister, and best friend something. But what about everyone else? I don't really expect anything from them and would feel guilty if some other friends or family bought me gifts? I know that Christmas is about a month away, but I want to get everything taken care of as soon as I can. What should I do? What do you all do? What's a good way to please everyone? I like to please everyone and I like to give, I just wish it was more affordable?!

I'm bisexual and I haven't come out to anyone yet. It's weird to even say those words. I don't know how to come out to my friends and family. I'm afraid of what they will think of me and how they will react. I'm afraid that things will change. I know that if they are my true friends they won't care, but that doesn't make it any less scary or nervewracking. I don't even know how to bring it up.
