I believe you can be a Muslim and Christian follower. You just wont be a Christian or a Muslim. Not all Christians follow every Christian belief and the same for Muslims. (Being a follower doesn't mean you have to do EVERYTHING in that religion.) I know for a fact that not all acclaimed Christians believe that Jesus IS God, but that Jesus is his son. In a way, the two religions are similar and yet at the same time extremely different. By following the teachings of both one would come into conflict. If you really read up on the two, I believe it's possible. Both religions have some really good teachings. Besides, they both believe in the ultimate being that judges and guides us all. Basically, both religions believe in God and as Christians say, God wants you to put him before any other being. So following either or trying to follow both wouldn't hurt you in the aspect. Though, I suggest that you look at it as a "Life Style" instead of a religion and go about adapting both Christian and Muslim beliefs to your way of life.

Dear Chocolate,
You can not be both a muslim and a Christian. To be a Christian is to follow the teachings of Christ- and Christ reveals himself in the Bible as God. Muslims believe that Christ was only a good prophet...
i think you can find some good books in a Christian bookstore that explains the difference between the two religions. i can't advise you about Muslim bookstores since i've never been to one. Obviously each side will tell you why they are right... but i say read both and make an informed decision.
Hope that helps.
Kindly,
Nickster

No because the core of the religions is different. Christianity's core is to believe Jesus(PBUH) died for your sins and you have to except him as your personal saviour to get to Heaven. Were as in Islam the core is to believe there is one God and only one God and that Muhammad is the last messenger. You have to believe this with all your heart and not put partners with God and live your life according to this in order to get to Heaven. The two religions have many similar rules but the core of them are different so no you can't be both.

Islam is the logical conclusion to the message of all the righteous Prophets' of God.
Once a Muslim, you are a Muslim.
If by Christian, you mean someone who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ (p) as they were meant to be and preached by him (p), then yes, we Muslims are more Christian that the Christians themselves and by the same token, more Jewish than the Jews themselves.
Take care sister.

Impossible because muslims only see Jesus as a dead prophet but christians see Jesus as the God head that died on the cross and rose from grave and was born of a virgin Mary.
