God gives people free will.

The English, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish and French just chose to use their free will for evil ends.

Some Arabs and some Black Africans also used their free will to enslave their African cousins. Look what is happening in Darfur, Chad, Uganda, and elsewhere. African kills African. African rapes African.

So, no I don't think God let it happen. God does not run a puppet show with us. He is powerful, but he gave away some power when he made us.

Rumraisin, though God did create us, he did not create our actions that we have taken on others.

I believe that God gave us freedom in this world, as you can clearly see from many stories in the bible. He did so from the very beginning and Adam and Eve were the first to disobey him. Our world today is a result of those first sins.

Someone decided to utilize slavery when it became too difficult to find indentured servants. Slavery was a tool and not one that can truly be blamed on God. When Hitler annihilated the Jews, was that God? I would say not. It was man and is always man's hands committing these cruel acts.

Can you truly justify saying that we blacks have it so hard in the world? There are other cultures that have it worse than we do, sweetie. I know you are talking, probably, about slavery times, but that is over, in the past and necessary for our learning. But in today's times, we cannot say that we have it so hard in this world. We choose to live our lives in the way we live it. All God asks us to do is to worship him. Look around you - he doesn't even force you too, as there are many who do not do this.

We all have suffered our own tragedies but we shouldn't blame God. Do we blame God when our lives are rich and full or do we then thank Him? :)

Slavery is still going on in many of the third-world countries. It is true that african-american slaves were mistreated terribly. Trust me when I tell you that the Isrealites had it way tougher back when the Egyptians enslaved 95% of them and made them build most of what you see today. I wish there was a good way to tell you why slavery was allowed by God. You have to realize that most African slaves did not beleive in the God that Americans believed in. Most believed in some form of voodoo, or just had there own religious customs. Remember the story of Job, though. Tortured by SATAN, allowed by GOD!!! He remained faithful through all of the hardship. One thing I must say is yes blacks had it hard then. Today is different. Blacks have just as much opportunity as any other race does now. I hope it stays that way too. Equality is a moral that this country basis itself off of.

Because there is no man living in a cloud. Why did God allow the World War 2 Holocaust to continue when the concentration camp inmates prayed every day? Why did God allow Pope John Paul to be shot? Why did God allow the 2004 Tsunami to kill 300,000 people many who were Muslims and prayed 5 times a day? Why did God never intervene to stop pedophile priests from molesting children? When God heard the 9/11 Hijackers say, "We're doing this for God", why didn't he come down and say, "Oh no you're not"? Religion gives the followers beliefs and when events prove the doctrine to be wrong, it's swept under the carpet or not talked about. Negative events and disasters will continue. There is no man living in a cloud to stop the next Tornado from destroying a Church.

Slavery went on for most of human history. The culture that had slavery for the longest time Egypt. And Hollywood not with standing they were black. God did not make it hard for anyone, we have free well, that means god, or gods and goddesses, have little to do with what we do. When we do evil it all us. Humans make it hard on each other and all colors are to blame. I could ask why did god let the white man take this country away from my people, he had nothing to do with it. Things can not get better until we change. It is up to us not god. The color of a person skin is just one of the hundreds of reasons we do horrible things to one another

When we get to heaven we'll have to ask this and other questions like it.
It is unfair to blame God for the actions of his wayward children, just as it is unfair to hold parents responsible for what their adult children do. God gave us free will, and we (thru disobediance in the Garden) chose to have knowledge of evil. People give into their sinful nature, and evil is the result. There are lots of evil things that man does to man. We can often get caught up in the righteousness of our feelings. If our anger, our bitterness seems justifiable to us, it feels foolish to let it go. Yet that is exactly what God wants for us. He wants us to have the fullness of His joy and to know His love and peace. With just that truth, how could you think God wanted slavery for blacks (or anyone else for that matter)?
This just isn't a correct question. Perhaps if you asked why people do evil things in the world? Why they feel the need to treat those that are "different" badly? Why it's so hard for someone to admit their wrongs and ask forgiveness, and why it's so hard to give that forgiveness? Bitterness and unforgiveness are the root of many problems between people.
Why is it easier to wallow in self-pity and blame problems we are having on others and not face the fact that we make choices. Choices both good and bad. Am I saying that a victim is to blame for their own mistreatment? NO! However, we can choose to feel sorry for our selves and do nothing to get to a better place, and everytime we are reminded how we've stayed stuck in the same place, point the finger outward. Or, we can choose to pull it together, and make strides towards a better place.
It has not been my intention to insult anyone, and if I have I apologize.
God Bless

I dont think that God decided to make life hard for blacks. First of all, slavery was never limited to blacks, nor were they by any means, the first slaves. But slavery started in America as a trade. Africans who had committed crimes and were captured were sold...by their African rulers and captors. Also, because of that beginning, the south began to flourish as an agriculture based society. They didnt know any better way to do it. They knew no different. I am by NO means saying there was nothing wrong with or that it wasn't horrible. My aim is only to show you that God is not to blame for slavery any more than you can blame him for your favorite sports team losing a big game.

Blacks were not the only people to be slaves... Do you hear the jews complaining about how unfair the world is to them?

I've had a lot of black friends, and I'll admit, when I ride and get pulled over with my black friends, they always got a ticket... And when I rolled with my white friend's it was always "Just don't do it again you guys"...

I think the reason for that is the majority of black people make the few good black people look bad. I've worked with blacks and whites, and I have to say, it was always the black people that would be first to say "I ain't doin' that bullshit!" And I've watched plenty of (black) comedians that use that as part of their skits.

I've noticed the majority of black people always have to put up a front, and act all hard, and be bad asses...

I'm not saying all black people are bad... I've met some great people, and there are great historical figures that are black... I'm just being honest... A lot black people make your race look bad. Sorry for being honest.

I think another reason black people are treated unfairly in a negative way is because black people are also treated unfairly in a positive way... And because black people get to have all these grants and are allowed to say racist remarks without being labeled a racist, and are allowed to be hired in positions they are not actually the most qualified for, and have TV channels obviously exclusivly for black people, a lot of people in turn get angry and treat black people badly when they get the chance (by giving my black friends tickets, while letting my white friends go).

I believe all those grants, and TV channels/magazines, black history month, only keep segregation and racism alive... I believe if we are ever to live peacefully among eachother, we need to recognize ALL races, have no segregated channels, have every or most races in every channel, except in shows depicting a certain cultures, do away with black histoy month, and have AMERICAN and WORLD history throughout the year, and include all black historical figures great in america, and include EVREY race's historical figures (if applicable) ALL YEAR ROUND. Not just once a month to only black people... Let us not forget the world is NOT black and white...

But as to your question as to why God allows slavory? Because MAN wrote the bible, and called it the word of the lord. They used the bible to give rules on how to beat your slave, and what you can or can't do to your slave... I'm not to sure if it really is the word of the lord... I think mostly, that it was man who made up these rules... But if it really was the word of the lord, well... God is almighty... He probably doesn't see slavery as a big issue... I'm sure in his eyes, the only thing he cares about is that you worship and honor Him... Everything else in life is just a miniscule little test on your faithfulness toward him...

God is the Alpha and Omega; He has planned and designed out every choice in which man can make. That is a fantastic question, there are many like it, why concentration camps in WW2. Why would God allow my Daughter to day 2 days old. The greater picture and reasons is not revealed to us, do to Gods desire for us to believe whole heartedly and have faith in him. I know there is now answer at this time to your question I pray that these words are mind opening to power of the lord and God, who did give his Son Jesus as a perfect gift for our sin while we were still in sin

Good conscious questions.
1st question: "Slavery" is acceptable and known, the Bible mentions it multiple times. Also slavery might have been considered to be different in the Bible compared to what modern people are familiar with.

2nd quesition: It's a test on those who are not having it so hard, the non-blacks. People are fortunate should help those who are not. Also it's a result of people misinterpreting His word and the Bible's context. The universal term of evil range from "not good" to "dark" or "black". People are misjudging people with dark skin color as people of "evil" or "not good". It's written in cultures across the world that light is beautiful, fair and right. And foolishly people misinterpret that as something they can see or someone's shell versus as a substance of nature, emotions, and faith (items that can not be seen by the eye). The devil is most likely to appear as a beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed model-like white woman because she is highly valued and desired as well as easily trusted and she's able to deceive you and get what she wants from. (The devil is alive, people!) God is most likely to appear to you as a very homely, unfortunate, old man on the streets that we tend to overlook and ignore many times. He will see you your heart at the end.

3rd question: I think there is a special place for blacks that have been mistreated and misjudged by the superficial interpretation of the Bible context in the Kingdom of God. I believe God will reward those who are true to their faith and His word.

May God bless you sistah. We are all in the struggle with you.
