It's not a thing.. it's an emotion. it could be a tear in remembering the people who you loved and the memories they gave you... it could be a smile or a laugh in the joys that your friends or family give you every day of your life. It could be that shocking moment of knowledge that you get from a good book or the simple smile or laugh that it gives you.
Your own life symbolizes happiness if you let it.

To me, the night-time clear deep indigo sky with all the stars clearly visible. I love walking in open space and look up; I feel I get absorbed into the space, amongst the stars, leaving all the pain and struggles of the wordly plane behind, and for those moments I feel exhilirating happiness, if not euphoria.

a butterfly. It flutters about in the sunshine, enjoying the flowers. Its flight pattern reminds me of the fluttering of joy in the heart.
